Since supposedly John Morrison said he was challenging the champion after NoC & Punk has his rematch clause, I would love to see Hardy vs Punk vs Morrison at Summerslam that match could be just amazing.

Sigh.  I really wish we had some of the guys here on this board booking WWE then the product would be so much more interesting to watch.

Looks like the WWE title match will be the snoozefest Cena vs Orton.  Legacy looks to be feuding with a reunited Dx.  Regarding the world heavyweight title, anybody think they'll try to have the Undertaker in the match and have him capture the match and feud with Punk/Morrison after?  I think I'm more excited about the undercard than the main event stuff because it just seems so repetitive.  I'll give them some credit if they're using some legit guys (Jericho, Edge, Big Show) as a way of restoring more prestige to the tag team titles.

I hate to have a negative tone but I was really bored silly by the crapfest known as Night of Champions.  I'm pretty much given up on Raw and am depending on the Smackdown guys to deliver the goods on the Summerslam PPV.

Unfortunately, I agree. This years Summerslam WWE Championship match is just a rehash of Summerslam 2007 among others.

In an interview with SkySports, Kane hinted that he could possibly be facing The Great Khali later this month at Summerslam. Kane said, “I don’t have a match made yet, but The Great Khali and I have been crossing paths. If I was to speculate I would say yes I have a match with The Great Khali but that hasn’t been made yet.”

Dud.  :(

Hopefully they keep the feud to television and give the spot to a better match/feud.

Now the card is taking shape it isn't half bad.

I'm really looking forward to the TLC match, and hopefully Swagger vs. MVP gets added, their slow buring feud has been one of the few highlights on RAW and maybe Christian vs. Shelton Benjamin would be another good edition, on match quality alone...

I don't think I can remember a less interesting SummerSlam! card ever. Apart from Punk vs Hardy, the rest looks TV quality.

According to a report by The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, there has been lots of talk in WWE that the company could be having the DX vs. Legacy tag match as the main event this Sunday for SummerSlam. This of course goes against WWE tradition of not ending the show with a title match.

One scenario is that if they were to have CM Punk go over Jeff Hardy in the TLC match for the WWE World Heavyweight Title that they would prefer to end the show with a happy ending, which seems to suggest they could go in the direction of ending with DX vs. Legacy.

Advertisments for SummerSlam on DirecTV are heavily pushing the reunion of DX as the main attraction of the show, while the order of matches for SummerSlam on WWE.com lists DX vs. Legacy over the two title matches. So while it isn't official this will happen, there are definitely signs they are going in that direction.
