Happy 44th birthday to Shawn Michaels today. :D Hopefully he's back on TV soon....

So Raw got Jeremy Piven to host raw on Aug. 2. A week after Shaq. I think thats pretty kool. I like Piven and think hes pretty funny so hopefully that element of RAW will be better that week. I liked most of Seth on raw but ZZ Top sucked the big one.

I think Piven is a bigger celebrity than i ever thought they would get to do this. I think its kool their doing it and hope they can get other comedians or comedic actors on there because i think the most entertaining value of a Celebrity Host comes from comedy. :smoking:

I'd heard of him but had to look him up to refresh my memory.

He was in RocknRolla which I've seen so I must have laid eyes on him at some point. :P

Who?  ???

Seriously? The dude has been in some decent movies but i guess he didnt become well known till he stared as Ari Gold in Entourage. He also has a new movie coming out in august that looks **** hilarious. its called the goods. Heres a link to the r-band trailer http://www.livehardsellhard.com/restricted/agegate/thegoodsageverify.html

His character on Entourage makes that show and he is definetly the reason why. I always thought the guy was a good comedic actor. I'm hoping he brings some of that to Raw. Maybe my liking of him made me think he was more famous than he actually is.   :smoking:

In regards to ideas for future guest celebrity hosts of WWE Monday Night Raw, The Wrestling Observer Newsletter is reporting that when Hulk Hogan's name was brought up recently that Vince McMahon shot it down immediately. As we reported on Thursday, the storyline in WWE of having a special guest celebrity host of Monday Night Raw each week isn't expected to end anytime soon. WWE has been contacted by a number of celebrity fans interested in taking part in the show so expect many celebs who are looking to promote an upcoming film or TV project to get involved.

it was also later reported that Vince didnt want to waste a chance for hogan to make big money for the company down the line by putting him in this type of role now. Hogan will wrestle again and lets face it he is a draw so I understand vince not wanting to put him out there like this.  :smoking:

It's also possible that the show would somehow end with Hogan being champion. :P

- TNA's Jeremy Borash noted on his Twitter that he ran into Freddy Krueger, probably played by regular Robert Englund, at the San Diego Comic-Con and he said he was going to host RAW in a few weeks. Borash could have been just joking around but here's what he wrote: Freddy Krueger just told me on the red carpet he was gonna host Raw in a few weeks. Pretty sure I talked him out of it.
