I thought Raw was good last night. Great Triple Threat Match to start the show, even if we've seen Orton/Sheamus once already on PPV this year.

The Nexus angle continues to be good too, and I even thought Miz came off a lot better tonight. He doesn't work to me as a super-serious, aggressive heel. Stuff like shouting - rather than saying - "I'm awesome!" and quoting The Police work for him. ;D

Bret turning up at the end was unexpected too since it was reported everywhere that he was finished with the WWE for now. :lol2:

And there was no guest host either! Perhaps they'll realise that they can put on an episode of Raw without one. :o

If they're gonna keep the emailing GM thing going then they really need to ensure that Cole looks like he is reading from the screen of the laptop rather that the piece of paper on the keyboard he was reading from when the GM announced the Sheamus/Evan Bourne match.  Quite a load of bollocks really.

I did. I know we've read that he isn't expected to be back before SS, but I was half-expecting to hear that guitar to start blasting....

Er I expected Vince McMahon since I thought the theme was people who The Nexus had beaten up.  Maybe it was just me but it sounded odd, Cena talked like he'd been gathering this team for weeks, yet Jericho and Edge were in it, the introduction just didn't fit the members, but that's a minor complaint.

The opening match was great, as was the continued Nexus storyline throughout, as was the Miz and Sheamus segment, and as mentioned, not a guest host in sight, great!

Don't get too used to the lack of a guest host.  Not gonna last!!

From pwtorch

WWE revealed tonight that country music star Toby Keith will guest-host the October 25 episode of Raw the night after the Bragging Rights PPV.

Keith's previous appearances on WWE TV include a spot on the September 11, 2006 Raw from New York City. Keith, who is from Oklahoma, is friends with WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross.

Keith was also part of the first-ever TNA Wrestling show in June 2002. Keith performed his "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue" song and was interrupted by Jeff Jarrett. Keith then eliminated Jarrett from a battle royal later in the show.

The list of upcoming Raw guest hosts is as follows:

-- Oct. 18: Bobb'e J. Thompson

-- Oct. 25: Toby Keith

The thing about the guest hosts is that, IMO they're not necessarily bad as such (though there have been a few....), it's just that they don't really need to be there. Sometime they involve them in a minor way with angles (ie. Dennis Miller saying he wanted Bret to host Raw), but a lot of the time, they're just there.....

Raw this week was good IMO.

The Miz \ Sheamus section was great and I thinks testiment how they have brought these two guys on!

The nexus thing continued to be interesting. Although I really hope they book nexus to look strong in this match.... They don't have to win, but I hope they don't get crushed!

Does anyone else think that Young looks like Cena on the face?

I thought RAW was decent last night the only problem I had with it was the GM crap, I mean it suppose to be wrestling not Deal or No Deal. I lied about the only problem I with RAW, I had one more problem and that is how they let the NEXUS just walk all over the RAW team last night, now do not get me wrong I know there are some wrestlers on that team that could have be eliminated, but I would have least let Mark Henry take out a few of them and I would have let Jerry Lawler take out one.

Overall I thought RAW was awesome and had some decent matches on it, I love the Cena/Jericho segement I laugh my ass off the whole time it was on.

On Deal Or No Deal over here they use a phone. ;D

Anyway, Raw was good again last night and oh look, no guest host. See that WWE? It works!

Though it seems that "And I quote" is going to become Michael Cole's new catchphrase. They mentioned it during one of the matches....

The thing I found funniest during the Cena/Jericho segment was the "I like turtles" sign in the crowd. So random, but hilarious.
