So tonight Raw is having The miz wrestle Jerry Lawler with Michael Cole as guest ref?

U couldn't pay me to watch this **** sandwich.

thats worse than WCW having Charles Robinson do the Little Naitch angle.

when u use announcers or refs in your top angles.... thats when u know u suck.

Awesome!  Great final segment, question is, where does this leave Wade Barrett?

What choo talkin' 'bout D?

Anyway, Punk joining Nexus is another interesting twist. I'm guessing he's going to assign himself leader? Otunga never said that he was the new leader of Nexus....

Hopefully Barrett doesn't get forgotten about or something though. Although he hasn't seen that much in-ring action, he definitely gets it done from a character and promo point of view.

BTW, is Punk still injured? I guess he could be the leader of Nexus without having to actually do much in the ring. Hell, I just mentioned Barrett's relative lack of proper matches....

No, he's been working house shows.

Anyone else notice Gabriel being much slower to pledge his allegience, I'm guessing he was half asleep.

Also why the hell were Tyson Kidd and his bodyguard jobbed out like that, I was crazy enough to think we were on the verge of getting a Daniel Bryan vs Tyson Kidd feud...

Thought the two main events last week were good. What's with both Raw and Smackdown both starting with Title matches? Not that I'm complaining, both were good. :D And with Punk leading Nexus, Raw could be pretty good in the coming months if they handle it right....

This Punk leading Nexus thing..... it's interesting but haven't we seen him do the crazed-cult-leader thing already? At least they had people (Gabriel and Slater) stand up to him. People in wrestling often seem content to let some guy rule over them with an iron fist.....

I think John Morrison is the best thing going by far on RAW right now. He really has stepped up since his first matches with Sheamus. He is the only real highlight of the show for me right now. His match with Daniel Bryan this week on RAW was really impressive because he showed amazing technical wrestling ability and intensity, and visibly held his own against the more experienced technical Bryan. He seems to be winning over even the most skeptical of his critics backstage by proving that he's not just a flashy showman with a few acrobatic moves. He's come on leaps and bounds, even the smaller things such as his tone when cutting promos and his facial expressions are faultless these days...if he keeps up this progress then maybe in a year or so comparing him to a young HBK won't seem all that debatable. Speaking of HBK, seeing Shawn Michaels back for a small cameo 2 weeks ago really opened my eyes as to how dire the show really is without him.

Daniel Bryan is a wasted treasure. Instead of dancing about with the Bella's he should be allowed (and we know he himself would love it as much as us) to defend that United States title at least every two weeks, against lower but talented mid carders such as Yoshi Tatsu, Dibiase, Evan Bourne, Nexus, and William Regal...it sounds obvious but it would only benefit everyone. It really goes to show something is wrong when having the Bella's accompany you to the ring is valued  and held in a higher regard more than having the alleged prestigious United States Championship round ones waist...it's never even mentioned...so it's not even benefting Bryan anymore, and if it's not even benefiting the person holding the title anymore, it's utterly worthless...it should be scrapped.

Liked Bryan VS. Morrison on Raw but - and maybe my memory isn't that good - but it didn't feel like it was all that long. Or maybe I just wanted it to be longer. Morrison's knee to the face 'finisher' is pretty lame though. I guess it would hurt if it was 'real', but it just doesn't look that impressive at all.

Wow, this week was the first time I haven't seen Raw since..... well, probably when I first started watching and I didn't immediately 'get' that Raw and Smackdown were the two main weekly shows. :P Sky is still broken, so have missed Smackdown too and will miss the Rumble too. :crying: :crying: Should be fixed in time to catch the repeats though. I'm going to try and not have anything from RR spoiled so I'll probably be avoiding this place for a little while. :P

Doesn't look like I missed anything too important though.

Word is that CM Punk is the one who reminded WWE creative about the segment at Unforgiven 2008 where Randy Orton and Legacy attacked him. WWE used the clip on this week?s RAW to fuel the current storyline between Orton and Punk.

Partial source: F4Wonline.com

Thank you Punk!  I wish more wrestlers would do this, its easy to blame creative for not remembering but often they were employed back when a certain thing took place, referencing old storylines and angles is the way to go!
