That opening segment between Truth and Morrison was kinda weird. Both were acting a bit heel-ish at points. And some of the stuff they were talking about was really random. Truth drank some water last week during the Gauntlet Match? And? Hasn't The Rock done that about a hundred times before? And the thing about Truth being a smoker. Just.... random and out of nowhere. And Morrison, the one who seemed to be doing most of the provoking and taunting wasn't the one who ended up turning heel....
Weird as it was.  I liked the segment.  But they cut it short early.  We never got to see Truth blowing smoke in JoMo's face :(

Quote
Cole's segment went on a bit too long again though. For a feud between two non-regular wrestlers, this has certainly been going on for a while. Surely the Extreme Rules match will be the end??....
I'll be honest.  I actually fast forwarded the segment.  A feud with 4 guys, 3 of who are non wrestlers (lets be honest, Lawler is retired)

Punk and Orton put on a good match though. Also cool to hear the Nexus music again after so long. ;D
I'd guess they are setting in place the future split.  With Punk being Trips.  And Mason being Batista.  You see that tension between them?  Built up slowly, and well, that could be magic and the making of Ryan.

Thanks a lot for that.  ;)

Wonder why Sky cut it.  What tv law did it violate....

Or perhaps the lamest crowd chant ever: "That's illegal!!"

WOW @ R Truth what an amazing heel promo last night. He has big time star potential if they allow it. I saw big things in that promo last night.

Have to agree about R-Truth's promo.  Did a great job getting heat from the crowd.  Sky were a little on the late side trying to cut out his slight use of language.

Other than that, Raw was an improvement on the week before, apart for the Cole/JR in-ring segment, although JR must have caught Cole with a cracking right hander haha.  I was hoping Extreme Rules may have been an end to it but with Swagger being drafted to Raw I guess not.

And the whole Cena thing was obvious I though.  Easy to predict.  Orton didn't look too overjoyed about being drafted to Smackdown did he?

I also enjoyed Truth's promo last night. It's amazing how a heel turn can suddenly make you start liking someone. :P And yeah, Sky failed twice (thankfully) to censor him. "Y'all are pissin' me the hell off!" *silence* :D Or did they try and censor him everywhere?

His conversation with 'little Jimmy' was quite amusing too. ;D As was Booker T's "So basically you was in the trunk?" line to Cole, after Cole said Del Rio gave him a ride in the back seat of his two-seater car.

I also got a kick out of Punk and Del Rio celebrating on the turnbuckle after Miz pinned Cena in the main event. I even think they kissed each other at one point. I love these small, random moments. ;D

Orton doesn't look overjoyed at much TBH. :P Actually, I thought he was smiling slightly when he first came out. Did people know they were being drafted? I know in the past they've not told them who's being drafted....

I got the impression they knew of the draft picks, especially when they appear at the top of the ramp as soon as it's on the 'tron.  May be wrong but that was just the impression I got from watching Raw.

And yes I guess Orton never looks overjoyed about anything.  Maybe the new facial hair is gonna be his new look for Smackdown.  He may even go for the Mike Knox look.

For the first time since his debut as K-Kwik I am a fan of the Truth!  That was on heck of a promo, mucho props!

That was great, even Miz joined in with a high five, they'd be an awesomely cocky stable!

It did look dumb, the guys in the back looking shocked and celebrating.  Didn't they wonder where the guy in question sneaked off to 5 minutes earlier...

Yes! That would be awesome, the arrogance would be wonderfully OTT. ;D

Related to Raw, thought this video of Mark Henry was worth posting. He seemed to get genuinely emotional...

To be honest I hate the draft it is pointless and after RAW last night it has become a damn joke! What the hell is the point in having a draft when you draft one person and then turn around and draft the same person again it was grade A **** if you ask me.

My heart burns with a desire as it screams out for me to show you the error of your ways, and set you on the path of Righteousness!

So how do we reckon Miz plans on getting to Cena to say "I quit"? A re-hash of the 1999 Mankind/Rock match ending? Miz threatens to beat up someone from Cena's family? Miz threatens to beat up a 10 year-old? :o

On another note, I'm loving R-Truth's crazy OTT performances as of late. ;D He's a serious heel, but not too serious. Thank god they haven't got him wearing a suit all of a sudden, which seems to be the common trend when guys become upper card heels....

My first thought was Miz uses Cena's Dad.  He has worked on the indie scene for years and was used before, would make sense, although will they really switch the belt back so soon?  What I liked about Cena was he seemed really pissed, like genuinely angry at the end, you bought into it, which made a great chance, I'm sick of seeing him making a mockery of his feuds and opponents.  Like at the beginning with the My Little Pony references and such...

R-Truth's heel persona is the best new character going!  That's the truth!

Otunga and McGillicutty win!  Awesome!  New Nexus lives!

If it wasn't for the WWE Game, I'd say give the belts to Ryan & Punk, give them a long reign, most of the year, build up the stable, and have the breakdown happen at the year end with them facing off at 'Mania.  Done right it could be massive.

Is Kofi just an afterthought, even without a belt, at the moment he is all kinds of meh....lost.

Speaking of which....no Drew again?  And as for Swagger, I think the worst thing about what Cole said was it was true, which is why, despite it being a good match fans never truely believed Swagger had a chance against Cena.

And I think from now on EVERY live show should have a group of fans dressed in ref shirts getting crazy over every pin.  Twwwwwooooooo!

I've not really been an Alex Riley fan until now. :D That beatdown of The Miz was great and well-deserved. :boxing:
