^ Exactly.

Less is more.  If they can't write 2 hours well, why would they do any better with 3?

I remember at least 10 matches from the 3 hour Raw 2 weeks ago and barely a single promo as compared to the usual, what, 3 matches and 6 promos?

The advantage to this method too is that far more superstars are naturally utilized for the 3 hour shows so I can not only see Smackdown people which I probably wouldn't otherwise, but them vs. Raw people instead the same 3 matches over and over and over again.

Only just got around to watching this weeks Raw.  Punk - awesome stuff and he meant every word.  Now, was he cut off to stop him or just because the show was ending.  I could have listened to more.

One thing I have to ask, what's the "fourth wall"?

As for the rest of the show it was ok and have to agree with others here that the tornado match was the best match of the night.  Would like to see more of those.  And the crowd was great.

3 hour shows every week would be overkill. Once every two months or something like that is fine. Sometimes the 3 hour RAW's turn out to be good, and sometimes they turn out to be bad. A lot of the times with these shows one of the hours is completely pointless and ****.

Sorry guys. i just moved and won't have regular internet till July 11th. stealing some WI FI right now. HOLY HELL what a promo by CM Punk. What an amazing shoot/work. one of the  best most compelling promos of all time.
Henry/Big Show moment was great as was borne/Sin  and the Tornado Tag.

I think Cena proved on Raw that he can do a decent promo when he's not joking around or being goofy. Obviously not quite at the level of Punk last week, but still thought he came across quite well.

At first I thought that the 'Cena gets fired' stipulation meant it was obvious that Punk was losing but I read a comment somewhere by someone who pointed out that Vince said Cena would be fired if "Punk walks out of Chicago with the title". I'm thinking they might have Punk win the title, then the winner of the Raw MITB Match comes out and beats him for it.

Or perhaps it's all a big swerve and Punk wins the title and reveals he isn't leaving at all, so Cena gets to keep his job....

Ryder coming for the Tag Titles "Woo, woo, woo.....you know it!"

I liked the mentioned Cena made of Punk being the kid on his car riding into WM22.

I thought the opening show promo was one that hinted at PG maybe going, it sounded like even Cena was fighting against it.

Funny thing is long term you could see a Punk vs Vince feud in a Steve Austin "**** you I won't do what you tell me" vein.

I found the "WWE Title Tournament" a bit dull.  I guess after the magic of Punk's win it felt like a bit of a letdown but it made sense.  If Punk had showed up in any form it would have seemed bs, like a stip (as usual) hadn't been followed through (Hi Cena  ).

The last segment though, storyline wise, with WWE business down (it has been way down) and Punk going, and in the storyline Cena about to be fired, a vote of no confidence, it worked.

I liked Cena referencing "Hogan - IMPACT!" with his BROTHER comment, a nice little touch.

And seeing Doofus show up!  It once again had me questioning stuff.  Obviously Vince is still the man at the head of the company (unless you belive X-Pac), but I got the idea, in a way he was stepping down from the day to day running and Triple H is getting a shot at doing stuff now.  There was just so much emotion in it.  If it is 100% storyline then kudos to them.  It's just in the old days of storylines you just feel Trips would have come down, pedigreed Vince and said, "I'm running the DAMN show!"

Loved most of Raw.. Even the title tourney matches were excellent.

Love how they are handing it over to HHH. Raw has really picked up and is now a lot more interesting. I actually can't wait for next week.. been a long time since ive said that.

Agreed!

Awesome Show tonight. Best RAW in a while.

Morrison returning, JR coming back as a RAW commentator, Ryder winning a match on RAW even if it was against Cole, Miz vs Mysterio being solid, Miz vs Cena being a great TV match, and Punk coming out at the end with the show ending to Cena and Punk holding their titles in the air. SummerSlam is going to be epic I hope. Cena vs Punk 2 is probably going to happen.

Not a huge Cena or Mysterio fan, but that was a really good match they had. Crowd was hot for it. 8) And as indifferent as I am to Rey, I'd rather him with the title than Miz...

I was horrified for a minute, thinking that Del Rio was going to cash in MITB, and Mysterio was going to recover, hit him with the 619 and pin him. Thankfully the match never started. Regarding ADR, I still like him, but I think they need to make more of a badass. When he first came in, beat Mysterio clean, was injuring people with steel chairs, that was good. But I think they can make him 'meaner'. I mean, in the Rumble, he only eliminated two guys, one of which was Sainto Marella. If they'd had him throw out six or seven guys, you could really buy him as a top level guy. I know there have been comparisons before, but why not make him a little more like JBL, attitude-wise? Just have him be more vicious and aggressive.

And oh yeah, Punk being back so soon was a surprise, but it fits well with his desire to **** up WWE's plans so I don't mind :D. I'm very much enjoying this angle still...
