He didn't earn it then but he sure as hell has earned a long title reign now.

They should've gave him a JBL type title run and had HHH and Co doing everything to take the strap off him but he keeps prevailing and talking ****

Now its just a regular bullshit angle... Its nothing special..... Steph sent text blah blah blah repeat Jericho/HHH/McMahon angle  Yawn

Raw Ratings dropped to 2.97.... Hmmmm Maybe I am right. no body wants to see Del Rio as champ or Kevin Nash

At least this angle is better than most of the stuff WWE was doing last year or even the year before. This angle seems to have more thought put into other it being something stupid. I am fine with Nash being on TV just don't have him wrestle. Now I expect him to wrestle once in this storyline just because, but as long as he isn't active I dont care. Nash isn't going to be fighting for any titles thats for sure.

The difference between this angle and others is that Punk is speaking his mind and he is saying what many of us have known about for years.

Del Rio has looked good as champion so far. 3 clean wins in a row for him. Punk is so over right now he doesn't even need the title. Del Rio is deserving of a title reign. Honestly if Punk was champion right now he would either be feuding with Cena still or feuding with Del Rio. Del Rio was going to get the belt anyways, so why does it matter.

See thats what im saying though... I don't like the giving someone a world title just to give them the rub

U can do that with the IC strap etc but the world title should be the best in the company or someone doing great things.

Del Rio isn't the problem for ratings, although he shouldn't been jobbed out since Jan, before actually winning the title. He isn't a green wrestler and is still over.

The staleness of the show and lack of anything changing for years is the issue. Punk did get over and the PPV was great, but the casual viewer who doesn't spend there day on the internet probably didn't expect Punk to win or something interesting to happen. Add to the fact that it was brushed over the next night with Cena back as champion the next night.

Vince being gone from power like the 23rd time since 1998 and Triple H in charge for like the 5 time since 1999 aren't signs of changes either.

The show is still booked the same as it was in 2008.

Yeah the dumbest thing was the fact John Cena had ANY claim to the title when he lost TWICE to CM Punk and at MITB.. so just cause u win some interim phony title doesn't make u the champ when the real champ already pinned u clean

not to mention CM was gone what? two weeks? Everyone knows u have 30 days to defend title.

Cena had a claim to the title since he lost it at MITB and gets a rematch. Same at Summerslam, he went in as one the champions, lost his title and thus qualifies for a rematch. :)

And in storyline terms, Punk was gone from the company which I'm assuming made him no longer eligible to hold one of their championships. But then he returned and had a legit claim to the title since he never lost it in a match and would've still been within the 30 day period.

Punk VS. HHH? Nice! :D Seems Nash was pulled from the match due to a 'medical issue'. I like Nash but no surprises there.... :P

Is it just me or if it was Cena who had done an OTT job of pretending he was sick for about a minute and accused HHH of wearing his wife's panties, he'd have been mocked severely?

BTW, how come R-Truth was able to appear on Raw when they were in Canada? I'm sure last time they were there, his criminal record stopped him from going.... :weightlifting:

Reks and Hawkins cameo on RAW and now a match (and win) on Superstars!!  And with that little meeting with Wade, could they be angling for another stable?  I know Wade is Smackdown, but with the relaxed brand split now, its possible.

Zach Ryder's push continues, it seems all his hard work has paid off.  I don't see the point in this angle with Otunga & McGillicutty though, since when has calling guys boring got them over, it just highlights their flaws to the fans.  Lance Storm bombed when Stone Cold fell asleep during his matches.

Once again, loved the Punk/HHH argument. I'm amazed that HHH is still managing to elicit cheers, but he's making some legitimate points, which I like.

I wonder how many kids were wondering who the hell "Phil Brooks" and "Paul Levesque" were? :hihi:

The conspiracy will lead to John Cena and his long overdue heel turn, which will also concide with his match with The Rock at Wrestlemania. You read it here first!

Imagine him walking out like this to cut a Hogan/Bash at the Beach style promo.

Wishful thinking? Perhaps. But if there were ever a time to do it, The Time is Now (pun intended) besides, they would be able to recoup some of the losses in the inevitable decline of merchandise sales by utilising The Rock as the sole established babyface.

This whole conspiracy thing with Truth and Miz is interesting now. Hopefully it goes somewhere good. Obvious Miz and Truth will come back, but they could return with Nash or something. I expect them to return next week or the week after which is the RAW after Hell in a Cell.

Nash, Miz, Truth....The New (old) World Order....  :P

Good show ending angle.

Zach Ryder getting a good push still and a celebrity used well.  I really enjoyed his match with Ziggler, maybe he could get involved with the issues with Swagger.  Ziggler is the best seller in the company since HBK, nobody has ever made the Rough Ryder legdrop look so good!  Jackman's punch was sold really well to, Hugh seemed really enthusiastic and despite obviously getting his movie over, he actually helped with Ryder, Zach looked good via association.

Sin Cara vs Sin Cara.....the crowd died quickly during that, kind of like, we don't care who's who, the moves look ropey, this is dumb!

Is Morrison still suffering the Melina Effect?  Del Rio defeated him in what?  A minute.  That was awful!  Still it helped Del Rio look decent.

Del Rio definitely needed a decisive win after NOC, but why did it have to come at the expense of Morrison? Couldn't they have fed him someone else?....

Hugh Jackman was actually pretty good, he seemed to know what he was doing and the crowd liked him too. Jackman for Raw GM! :P

Surely Awesome Truth's firing will result in them being on some kind of Survivor Series team? Team Laurinaitis??

Was nice to see McIntyre on Raw last week. Not so nice to see him get eliminated in like, the first ten seconds of the Battle Royal. Why did all those guys go after him specifically??

Also, are guys being announced at lower weights than usual? I noticed it first on Raw, but on Smackdown and at HIAC too.
