It seems that Swagger's going to be more serious now that he's champ. Hopefully he'll cut back on the goofy stuff. If so, he could be a decent champion, provided they give him a logner reign than Sheamus....

That monotone promo he gave while reading that statement was actually quite good.

The Shad heel turn is interesting too. Even though it came out of nowhere, at least it's another feud/angle they have going.

And speaking of the Shad turn....

And Shad seemed quite aggressive during his (brief) match with Jericho. He could perhaps be a good solo heel in the future....

August....

I can't believe you remembered that far back.

I still say JTG is the talented one, I think I even said that back then in response (maybe).  Although in all honesty I'm not sure either could go too far as singles guys, something someone suggested on another site, it might play to stereotypes but you could have, Shad & Zeke as two powerhouses in a tag team and JTG and R-Truth as another team who can cut very entertaining promos and rap their way to the ring.

I just knew that at some point, I had forseen the heel turn of Shad. If only I had the same performance in the Predictions game....

Swagger looks even more goofy as a serious heel.

I think the creative team had a good laugh at Swagger's expense by putting in as many 's's into his speech as possible. Didn't help his cause thats for damn sure.

Decent Triple Threat Match this week. But I really wish I'd taken Swagger in the WWE game. :steelchair:

I assume that Jericho and Edge will be fighting on some kind of stipulation match at ER. Stretcher Match maybe??

Funny how The Hart Dynasty were referred to as one the WWE's foremost (or something like that) tag teams. One of the only more like...

Well we also have ShoMiz, The Dudebusters, Straight Edge Society and  ??? ???

Speaking of Smackdown, I'm liking the new Dolph Ziggler push but his sleeper needs a nifty name.

Hmmm, Swagger loses cleanly to both Undertaker and Morrison in the same week?? This must be leading to something. Surely the World Champion doesn't just lose two TV matches in a row cleanly without there being some reasoning behind it....

Well via old PPV logic it means, he is winning this weekend right? (The old going in on your back scenario).

Either that or he's losing this weekend and getting endeavoured on monday  ;D

The crowd didn't seem too bothered about Edge's heel turn this week.....

"Could we see the alabama slam here - that's ****" - Striker

Love the little references!

Watching the show now, holy smokes that's the best Cody Rhodes match I've seen, what a match, the dude is damn good in the ring!

Oh and John Cena just urged me to vote, this week, er - yeah sure!

This weeks show showed just how much the times have changed. I absolutely LOVED the Edge/Christian segment which led to the eventual Edge heel turn. Only problem was, the crowd was so dead. They didn't react at all. The only reason I can think of is because they didn't understand why Christian came out in the middle of Edge's promo. Or maybe they thought when Edge told the audience he loved them, they thought it was suspiciously too cheesy and was leading to something else.  :P

Big Show was way over, and deserves a push and a main event run after the hard work he's put in over the last year with Sho-Miz and Jerishow. I forgot that he's also pretty damn good on the mic too when he's not blown up from walking down to  the ring.

And yeah, that Morrison/Rhodes match was awesome. Love Rhode's new Matt Striker penned moniker: "The Uncommon Son of a Common Man."  8) And that moonsault was awesome...kind of like an Angle moonsault with an inverted Austin style Lou Thez press.

McIntyre's no longer IC Champion. :'( I expect this'll lead to Vince reinstating him. Perhaps he'll return with another title belt and make a claim to being the true champion. A Ladder Match with the current champion will follow. And if it were Kingston or Christian, that would be a good match. I should write (recycle?) this stuff. :D

Also, I like Big Show as a face. He's a good talker, heel or face, but I seem to prefer him as a good guy. One thing though, why did Teddy Long name his #1 Contender?! Getting drafted to Smackdown qualifies you for a World Title match?? :lol2:

Argh.

How does the Big Show continue to have a role? Put him at commentary or just fire him

His matches are all the same...

Curt Hawkins is back on the blue brand and with Vance Archer and he spoke to, wahey!

A proper use of 2 guys with no direction, make them a team, love it!  Although I wouldn't of minded Hawkins being brought up as the 3rd Dudebuster, a title run and the Freebird rule is always a fun heel tactic.

Why did Punk and Mysterio have a match on TV when they're fighting at the next PPV? :weightlifting:

I know the match ended on a DQ, but still....
