It's reasons like that I sometimes get scared watching Smackdown in HD!

1/2 years ago I would have said Matt was capable of being World Champ but since then he's kinda just fell off my radar. Hopefully when he comes back and is back in top shape that he could excell himself like the excellent MVP feud!

Another great SD this week especially the main event. Matt looked impressive (and hes sorted his face out).

Main event next week should be excellent - CM Punk & The Hart Dynasty vs John Morrison & The Hardyz!

Agreed, last week's look wasn't good.

I'm wondering where this angle is going to lead? Matt costs Jeff the title at Summerslam? Matt is back to being a face again??

I heard WWE were planning a Hardy Boyz tour (in the same vein of the upcoming DX tour) in a hope to get Jeff to stay awhile longer and have them feud with Jericho & Big Show for the tag titles.

Superb show, Jeff is obviously on drugs again, instead of picking up his jar of face paint he grabbed Matt's fake tan of the burnt style bottle.

I liked the ending of the show, it made you see the "Wave of the future".  To have Hardyz & Morrison staring down Punk & The Hart Dynasty was a classic moment, so fresh, so cool.  8)

(Maybe not word perfect I'm paraphrasing off memory)

Still classic.

is it?

I just see Punk's beliefs being ridiculed - he's made to be some self righteous lunatic

word always was that Triple H and gang hated the straight edge stuff

he's humilating himself - bit like if a Jewish character played some dreadful money lender angle

Smackdown is watchable wheras Raw isn't - but the same structural flaws are there, yey gods 2 6 man tag matches!

It is odd that someone who says they are against abusing drugs and alcohol is a heel but apparently, there are Straight Edge people who are a bit more strict than others. I think it's a good gimmick (well, it's more than a gimmick but whatever), because it works for both a face and a heel.

Anyway, I thought the Punk/Hardy stuff was good this week as well. Punk's a great heel IMO.

And Shad seemed quite aggressive during his (brief) match with Jericho. He could perhaps be a good solo heel in the future....

Plus, the debut of a Scottish guy! Woop! :ohyeah: :P  Which reminds me, why do Scots seem to get their weights announced in stone??

Punk is brilliant IMO. When Edge comes back i think SD will have the 3 of the 4 best heels wwe have in Punk, Edge & Jericho (yeah i think their all as good as Orton). So much so i think they may have to turn one face coz the quality of the Face's are not in the same league.

I also have to agree with Blowup on the Shad promise although i also think JTG has potential as a really solid mid-card singles wrestler.

When Cryme Tyme split Shad will be gone in 6 months.  He is awful.  There is a reason JTG works more singles matches and most are there tag matches, that being Shad is an awful worker.

Cool send off for Jeff, he has helped made Punk a star, kudos.  We had no 'Taker, so essentially only 2 weeks build-up then before the PPV....

Drew sounded good and that Double Underhook DDT looked devasting, lets hope they book him well.

Ziggler is cheating on Maria, with Melina.

Loved last nights show, between the great title match and CM Hardy it was quality stuff.  I could of done without the opening tag team match but even that wasn't enough to take away from a really good show.

Aye, Morrison/Mysterio was easily in the top 3 best matches of the year. The crowd seemed strongly behind Morrison aswell. When was the last time you heard "This is Awesome!" at a WWE show?  :D
