Sign of the times, these things are just expected and seen as regular things that "happen".

I remember a time when everything got sold like crazy, but thats when that stuff shocked the viewer to, I mean now we hardly ever see stuff and think, "Holy ****" so why would the commentators?

Why am I so bothered about announcers all of a sudden??....

U only notice them if the show is exceedingly good or unbelievably boring...

It's odd, I usually enjoy Smackdown, it just seemed a little off this week (maybe something to do with them showing images of London when they were in Sheffield??... :P).

I'm liking heel Batista though, especially his "Hey, Rey, how you doing? You're looking good." remark to Mysterio this week. :hihi:

I said it was unlikely I'd risk bidding for Festus again.

Never said anything about Luke Gallows though. :D

I watched the repeat of SD and after Punk introduced him as Luke Gallows, they cut to a break and when it came back, Matt Hardy was in the ring. What was said about Festus' transformation? The announcers referred to him as Festus a couple of times so is the story that Festus/Luke was on drugs of some kind all this time??

I haven't got round to watching it yet, so was this just the "UK" broadcast?  Did they consider Punk's promo too edgy for "Sky Sports"?  If thats the case I'll just download it.

From the spoilers I read Punk explained Festus had been like he had just to the drugs he'd be on, prescription like.  What beats me is what kind of drugs make you go insane at the sound of a ring bell

Edit: Last night’s airing of Friday Night Smackdown in the UK cut out CM Punk’s promo reintroducing Festus as Luke Gallows because it violated the country’s advertising laws as a result of the Straightedge Superstar plugging WWE’s upcoming DVD release on Jeff Hardy. To make up for lost time, they aired the Undertaker vs. Chris Jericho match twice. (source: www.f4wonline.com)

So it was just because it broke "Advertising Rules", thats not even hip, downloading it is....

Alright, that's.... odd.

I never understand why wrestlers plug DVDs of guys they don't like. "You, my opponent for this Sunday, with your new DVD out in stores and available on wweshop.com...." etc. :hihi: At least when DX do it, it's not supposed to be subtle....

That's a point, they never edit the D-X segments, so what gives?  Or is that because its live and they don't have the chance, do they edit the repeats?

Or do I sense an "Anti Festus/Luke Gallows" campaign and it was just an excuse to keep him off screen....

....BlowUpYourVideo, I'm expecting you to be having words with WWE Headquarters UK  :P

It'll be the main event of the next new WWE PPV entitled "Repackaged before Endeavoured"

Slam Master J vs Luke Gallows in a "I Can't Believe They're Both Still Employed Match"

If...if they ever did an "IWC Only" PPV, then yes, that could happen....  8)

If he were still Festus, I would, but we'll have to see how this Luke Gallows character goes. Being that it is Festus, I expect it will be a success. 8)
