Only just got round to watching this weeks show and then RAW, been getting behind with stuff.  Liking The Corre still, looks like they will be taking on Kane and Big Show at Wrestlemania with a few others thrown in, I wouldn't mind seeing Diesel in there for the pop, he can cope with an 8 man tag match.

Final segment was really good, little bit of blood added a nice touch, and the heat between Christian and Del Rio, part of me thinks they booked the wrong guy in the main event, and I know Christian turning heel after all Del Rio has done would make no sense, but I still sense some turn of sorts...

Seems we didn't get Smackdown in the UK this week, and had a Wrestlemania highlights show instead. :undecided: It doesn't seem like I missed much, but still, why did they decide to do that?... :weightlifting:

I found last weeks show one of the best in a long time.

An entertaining battle royal.

Another good speech from Edge.

A quality Rhodes segment as usual.

Zeke's push going nicely, Corre arguing on commentary was amusing.

Only the Lay-Cool stuff was poor to be honest.

I'm starting to really enjoy Smackdown recently, much more than RAW. Was another tear-jerking speech from Edge, who will obviously be missed, but I'm keen to see what they do with Christian now. If they're ever going to give him the ball, it has to be now. Smackdown is in need of a full time star babyface now that with the void that Edge has left, Christian is the one to do it. Wouldn't it be great to see him finally win the big one, and how fitting would it be that he succeed his real life best friend as the World Heavyweight Champion.

Personally, I can see it happening. Regardless of the fact that Christian most certainly deserves a run, I predict Alberto Del Rio being drafted to RAW in the draft anyways, where a Del Rio/Cena feud is imminent.

If you've seen Smackdown, you'll know what I'm on about.  Somebody in the editing department needs firing.  Worst voice over....EVER!

When Riley came out I thought he might have been in the midst of a push, an RKO later and we see he was just given the comedy jobber slot.

No Wade and Zeke....WTF?

:(

Seems there's been some criticism for having Christian lose the title so quickly, but I'm fairly sure this is leading to a bigger angle....

They're clearly going with a sort of "Am I worthy enough to be World Champ?" angle with Christian, I'd like to see where it goes. Maybe that heel turn that people expected while Edge was still champ?...

There HAS to be a Christian heel turn.

Who else can Orton feud with?

He has feuded with Sheamus and now Sheamus has been shown to be a midcard guy.

Henry? Khali?  No they suck!

Corre are busy with themselves.  Show and Kane are feuding on RAW with Nexus.

Smackdown is really thin on top line talent, could be a chance for someone else to get up there.  I've never seen his work pre-WWE but I hear Daniel Bryan works really well as a heel.

What was with Orton's weird jump and celebration after the RKO to Henry? That's a bit much personality for him, isn't it? 0_o

That was, so random and out of character.  Orton is just....wrong at the moment.

Loved the pairing of Rhodes and DiBiase.  Maybe Rhodes can save Ted's career, also a certain Dudebuster should get a push too!!

An odd situation happened after Tuesday's WWE SmackDown tapings in Des Moines, Iowa. After SmackDown ended, Mark Henry came out for a dark main event that was advertised to be Christian vs. Randy Orton. Henry entered the ring and just waited as no opponent ever came out. Henry waited for around five minutes before finally beginning to cut a promo to the crowd. Each time Henry would begin to speak, the microphones were cut.

Instead of getting a promo accomplished, Henry began to taunt some fans at ringside. After 15 minutes of this going on, ring announcer Tony Chimel announced that while fans waited for Mark Henry's opponent, WWE thanks the fans for attending.

Henry's music started playing for a few minutes before stopping. Hornswoggle's music then hit but he never came out. After a few minutes of that, The Great Khali's old theme music played but again, nobody came out. Khali's music stopped and Vince McMahon's music played but as expected, he didn't come out either. After about 20 minutes since SmackDown ended, Henry got tired of waiting for an opponent and walked to the back. No word yet on what happened but it sounds like WWE was playing a big rib on Henry.

There has been concern expressed within WWE this past week regarding SmackDown live event business. When WWE did the Draft after Edge retired, the idea was that SmackDown had to be made strong enough that it could still draw on the road. It's been noted that Orton, Christian and Sheamus aren't doing good business on top and WWE went in with the idea that Orton would be strong enough to carry the brand, as far as the business side of things go. All of this likely has to do with this weekend's SmackDown shows being canceled and moved to September.

Just seen Smackdown.  That Johnny Curtis segment was weird, but amusing, curious as to where they are going with it.
