Well there was that time he superkicked The Rock when he was guest referee in a match.  And as commish I'm sure there were a few cameo appearances.

Also during his feud with Kurt Angle.

He also appeared during the build-up to one of those RAW vs. Smackdown Survivor Series matches.

He also showed up several times during the feud with Batista/Jericho and he also showed up during his feud with Undertaker.

I like the Vince/Taker angle - I think they are handling it...er....hmm, was gonna say well, but its so absurdly childish and obvious....hmm, okay its good for WWE

Smackdown is probably level with TNA as the least awful wrestling show right now - but lets face it, these are dark days for wrestling

Ziggler and Morrison in HIAC - why dont they have a new match stipulation 'devalue a match type'....

As far as I know only the D-X match and 2 World Title matches are actually in the Cell.

Some nice touches on SD this week. Celebrating Eddie and his contribution to SD and wrestling as a whole. I mean do we have a current star with the same passion for the industry and with the talent to back up the knowledge.... Probally not.

The Rock is the Rock.... forever entertaining. A little dig at the promos being scripted, Dolph Ziggler, peoples perceprtion of him etc Brilliant and to be honest another thing that makes you realise how good it used to be. It wasn't his best promo but still better than most around these days.

Drunk Michael Cole skits were funny.... Hurricane saving the Iron Sheik from choking... Joey Styles "OH MY GOD" all quite entertaining.

Throw in a decent tag match with four young guns with bright futures and i think it was a good show. Main event was an obvious result but the crowd seemed really into it and i was a little bit suprsed that Orton took the pin.

Yeah maybe but i still think the variety of styles that Eddie combined when he wrestled made him a little bit more exciting in ring than them three.

Don't get me wrong they are all brilliant and they are probaly all better on the mic but Eddie was a real in ring talent i thought.

Smackdown was added to the dictionary as a word some time back

Its definition reads:

2nd rate, after thought, token effort

For 10 years that has summed up Smackdown - very much the beta show

...and yet you look at how smackdown is and how it was...its terrifying to think a show that was third rate when it started looks like a masterpiece compared with now

I used to be able to watch smackdown every week but RAW only rarely  - Raw was such a treat, such a thrill and Smackdown was always just a tease for a better show

Vince - u have these retrospectives - doesnt it make u want to make a good show again?

Thought the Dirt Sheet segment on SD was good. I actually like the fact that it didn't break down into a fight. People have criticised Morrison's promo skills but I thought he was quite good. They made it entertaining while still pusing the match at BR.

Liked the Triple Threat as well. They didn't have one guy lying outside the ring for ages which was nice. :)

Morrison also showed that when he wants to he can cut a damn good promo. There wasn't a hint on that robot voice to be heard!

Show seemed a bit odd this week I thought. I think it was because the crowd seemed dead for most of it. Plus, Grisham and Striker seem quite casual in the way they commentate which didn't help. They're OK at calling matches but when, for example, Drew was attacking Finlay with the shillelagh (that is how you spell it BTW :D) or even when Michelle and Layla were cutting up Mickie's clothes, they didn't seem too.... concerned. Just, "oh look, Mickie's having her clothes destroyed on national TV, oh well, what can you do?" I know JR isn't as good as he used to be, but usually makes you feel something, and puts over the impact of things.

And Striker needs to stop giving guys multiple new nicknames every other week. He must have referred to The Undertaker by about five different names this week....


Why am I so bothered about announcers all of a sudden??....
