The New Crop
« on: August 29, 2009, 11:11:56 am »
Whats your opinions on the new crop? Drew McIntrye, Sheamus, Yoshi Tatsu, Tyler Reks!

I think that Sheamus looks the best out of the group and i was quite impresed with Drew McIntyre on SD. Not too sure on how how long Reks and Tatsu will hang around for and i certainly don't think they'll be massive. Reks looks ok and quite agile for a bigish guy but i can't see any personality in him really.

A Sheamus vs Finlay feud on SD would be good IMO and a good way to get Sheamus over.

Reks and Tatsu - Never beyond lower midcard.

Sheamus, solid midcarder.

Drew McIntyre, Main Eventer (He has the talent, probably won't get there but the potential to do so is there)

I could agree with that. McIntyre has the ability no doubt. Maybe he'll get thrown on to ECW eventully to give him the Belt and see how he goes. Him and Christian could be a really good feud IMO. He looks the part and certainly has the promo power on his side.... Plus an evil scottish accent never hurts.

Sheamus could be a really good member of a stable.... y'know the mental one haha.

They all have staying power, some just have more upside than others.

If I was to predict the 1st to be released I'd say Reks when they conclude he is too boring.  But I think he has potential, I just don't think he'll get the chance to show it.

Look at Hammy trying to use reverse psychology so I will drop Reks and lose the game.

Reks has nice in ring ability and a cool look, so I don't agree with that assessment at all.

Honestly D.... Reks reminds me of Ricky Ortiz.

I think he and Tatsu will be gone by Mania this year.

Drew McIntyre, Main Eventer

Seriously though, Drew McIntyre? He looks like your typical jobber. McIntyre will be gone first.

As for Tyler Reks, Ricky Ortiz's towel has more of a personality than him. He will never be over.

Yoshi Tatsu I can see as a solid mid-carder. The dude is super over, there was thunderous "Yoshi!" chants in his second match for god sakes! I could be wrong but the way I look at it is Tajiri became a 2 time Tag Team Champion in WWE, amongst other things and Tatsu is already more over than Tajiri ever was.

If WWE don't make Zack Ryder a star or they end up firing him, I riot! The dude is a natural, has a cool gimmick a sweet finisher, great talker, looks like a star and obviously he has the best entrance music of all time. Sadly he'll probably never be a main eventer, so looks like I'm going to have to settle for solid midcarder.

  ;D

I like Ryder he is cool, fun, but also nothing more than a midcarder.

Personally, i think Ryders character sucks - but he is ok in the ring. Reks i like, good character the surfer dude persona goes down well with kids and adults. Hes got the look, seems good in the ring from the two matches ive seen and hes a big guy which means McMahons probably creaming for him as we speak. Id like to see him get a push on ECW. the other guys i havent really seen enough of, MccKintyre seems to have a good  precence but i wonder if he will have enough of a memorable persona that perople will buy into.

Well, he has managed to make R-Truth look stupid, I mean he gets acted during his entrance 2 weeks in a row?

Surely he should of been looking over his shoulder this week...  :D

R-Truth makes himself look stupid, McCkintyre just gets props for beating him early in the entrance so i dont have to listen to his awful music.  ;D

Well it is smart having Drew attack R-Truth, for some crazy reason R-Truth is extremely popular so its a fantastic way to get heat from the fans, if he was doing this every week to Kung Fu Naki the crowd would be dead.

Well you may have got your wish.

Just done watching ECW, really enjoyed it, they made him look good.  He overcame defeat earlier in the night and in the Battle Royal reminded me of Michaels in many ways for his just hanging on escapes, I wonder if he is merely filling the void until Regal gets his next shot or if he'll get a chance on PPV, maybe he really is next on WWE's list of young talent to elevate to the "next" stage.

Drew McIntyre has a fan  8)

Sources say Triple H is quite high on Drew McIntyre and is one of the driving forces behind the young wrestler’s current push.
