Hope it doesn't end up being ANOTHER RAW vs. Smackdown bout.

Stables are the way to go.

If their break-up was impending, a Legacy vs. D-X one would work, still could.

Ted Dibiase splits and goes babyface.

Hart Dynasty switch brands and join.

BG James and Sean Waltman resign with WWE.

Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, David Hart Smith & Tyson Kidd vs. Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac and Roadogg.  Book It!

Vince has some weird phobia of WCW things

They got rid of the Great American Bash because he didnt like its WCW link - so why would they call something War Games?

...and doesnt Survivor Series have this gimmick covered?

Not quite, it is different, to an extent, although it was like the counterpart to it WCW had.

2 guys start in a Cage.  And a guy from each team comes down and 5 minutes intervals until everyones in the Cage (This is across 2 rings by the way).  And the match can only finish when someone from a team quits/submits.

Not a fan of matches featuring loads of wrestlers - becomes chaotic and riddled with 'triple h syndrome' where wrestlers vanish for 10 mins

the 14 man match at bragging rights will prove my point

a well planned triple threat or fatal four way can work but so often they are lazy

ditch War Games and focus on good one v one matches - all this strikes me as a way to fit a bloated rooster on a card

The early 90's "War Games" matches were classics.

Being WWE the matches will probably be like the 10 man tags, you get on draft edition Raw.

Sounds like some kind of ye olde proverb. Never mind pouring smoke through a keyhole or getting blood from a stone, fitting a bloated rooster on a card is the new way.

Er, back on topic, I have to admit I didn't know much about the War Games concept until recently when this rumour started. TBH I can't really see Vince using an old WCW concept at a PPV, seeing as they've even eliminated "Great American", leaving it simply as "The Bash".... Though you never know, he may surprise us....
