WWE still on Sky for another 5 years and the number of PPV's that viewers in the UK have topay for has gone up to 8 of the 13.

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT have signed a new multi-million pound contract that will keep them on Sky Sports for another five years.

The new agreement, which takes the partnership into its 25th year, means flagship shows Raw, Smackdown and ECW will continue to be shown on Sky Sports alongside boxing, cricket and Premier League football.

Sky — the satellite operator 39.1 per cent owned by News Corporation, parent company of The Sun — are promising to broadcast around 50 hours of WWE wrestling every week up until 2015.

The number of pay-per-view events that fans have to pay for have also been increased under the new deal.

Eight of the 13 annual cards will be shown on Box Office — including WrestleMania and Survivor Series — with the other five on Sky Sports.

Sky Sports managing director Barney Francis said: "Our relationship with WWE goes back many years. We are delighted to extend it."
