Wrestlemania XXVII Heading To Atlanta

WWE will today announce Atlanta as the host city for next year's WrestleMania.

The event is set for the Georgia Dome in spring 2011, according to reports in the city.

The Dome is the home to American Football side the Atlanta Falcons and has hosted Super Bowl finals and Olympic events. It has a capacity of around 70,000 people.

Atlanta Sports Council president Gary Stokan told Access Atlanta: "We have a long-standing reputation of hosting the highest level of sporting events.

"Adding WrestleMania 27 to our list of wins would further showcase Atlanta as the sports capital of the world."

This year's WrestleMania will take place on March 28 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona.
