Austin, "TNA Is Good For Us All"

WWE Raw guest host Steve Austin has praised rival wrestling group TNA.
TNA's Impact show now goes head-to-head with Raw in the US - just like WCW Nitro did in the glory days of the 90s.

And legendary star Stone Cold insists it is good for the industry and the grapplers to have an alternative.

Steve, speaking on **** Sports radio, said: "Competition is great for the business.

"I don't know if we'll ever re-create that Nitro-Raw war. WCW kicked our ass for two years, then we smoked their ass and never looked back and put them out of business.

"I wish the TNA people all the luck in the world because it means more of the boys have jobs and it gives fans an alternative.

"I don't think anyone will ever come close to really giving true competition to WWE because they're so far ahead of the game, they're rooted in their system, and they're a winner.

"I wish TNA all the luck in the world, but it's a totally different product."

Previous Raw guest host Ricky Hatton caused controversy last year when he told SunSport that his favourite wrestler was TNA star Hulk Hogan.

Its a shame that WWE doesnt seem to realise that  a strong TNA will boost its own ratings

Always thought a cross over PPV would be a good idea - Undertaker v Sting, Abyss v Kane - etc. Boosts TNA's profile, boosts ppv sales and - crucially - boosts interest in wrestling which WWE would benefit from

...after all, in 2010 people can watch Raw and Impact, its not a choice of Raw OR Nitro
