Is it time to change the TNA brand name?
« on: April 05, 2010, 01:05:34 pm »
So I'm telling a work colleague that hasn't watched wrestling in years about TNA

...and I realise thats just an awful name.

According to Vince Russo it really does stand for what you think and when things became serious they cobbled together 'Total Nonstop Action'

A new name might help the overall vibe of the company, not sure what a suitable new name would be (don't say WCW...)

Considering all the promos maybe an ironic name: Total Nonstop Wrestling. Yikes

TNA has much bigger problems than their name.

I don't think it makes a blind bit of difference of what they call themselves and i'd be against changing it if anything.

They just need to have a product that reflects their name. Total Nonstop Action is fine..... as long as your company is based on action, Which lets face it is the only chance TNA has as they wont out-WWE the WWE
This is how it works, You're young until you're not
You love until you don't, You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe, Until their dying breath

I think TNA is doing fine - it just needs more confience in itself and to be actually promoted

Its found its niche and it can thrive there - people seem to expect an unkown show to get ratings equal to WWE.....

I think a new name would help in that marketting

Total Championship Wrestling was touted as a possibility - not sure on that one :P

Could go for Russo's Sports Entertainment Extreme >:D

If they are changing the name then I think that the word "Wrestling" has got to be there somewhere.  Just that one letter could make a difference and open it up to more people.  maybe....................or maybe I'm just talking bollocks....................yeah that's it I'm talking ****?????

Ohh we can't mention wrestling - people watching a wrestling show don't want to watch wrestling...and I'm confused

Both Vince's hate wrestling and just want people talking in a ring - am I the only one who thinks that nuts? How can you have a wrestling show with no wrestling and no mention of wrestling?!?

Ask Kevin Nash, I'm pretty sure I've read several times that was his dream of Nitro.
