Mark Henry arrested in Ireland for incident with a fan

WWE superstar Mark Henry was arrested and issued an "adult caution" following an incident that occurred last weekend at The Hilton in Belfast, Ireland.

"I was trying to get as many signatures as possible on the card and my collectors book," WWE
fan James McClay told the Derry Journal. "Mark Henry was abusive and ignorant but I got his signature and walked away. Suddenly he threw a drink around me from behind.

"I turned around to see him stand and square up to me, suddenly John Cena and Randy Orton grabbed his arms and held him back. I honestly thought I was in one of the plot lines back stage. I felt like I was watching this happen to someone else. Suddenly Chavo Guerrero piped up egging Mark Henry on, that really annoyed me as I am a fan of his. I thought this is going to get really bad as all these wrestlers were on their feet."

According to McClay, Henry was offering to fight: "He kept saying 'Where I'm from you do something when someone throws a drink around you.' "He kept calling me a 'little punk ****.'"

If this is true, considering how they are handing out releases at the moment and want to uphold their "PG Image" I'd say he could be on his way out, and heck, get rid of Chavo while your at it.

I wouldn't trust the word of any wrestling fan - we're not exactly too interested in reality or the truth!!

Another emailed subject that I did not address in detail is the alleged ‘incident’ that involved Mark Henry in Belfast with a fan. I wasn’t there. I heard one side of the story of which there are always two. I like Mark Henry, even if he is a Texas Longhorn fan (that’s a joke), and feel that this matter may have simply perhaps been a ‘rib’ gone awry involving some very tired, frustrated travelers. Think of it this way, if Mark Henry had really wanted to assault a fan who could have truly restrained Mark? Mark Henry isn’t a dumb guy nor is he going to put himself and WWE in a position to where Mark is arrested and detained in a foreign country. Not withstanding the fact that Henry would likely be sued for all he has by the offended party. Again, I wasn’t there but I know that under normal circumstances that Mark Henry is a good natured man of character who I have known for years since we signed him in around 1995 or 96.

The fan story sounded kinda sketchy.  I tend to side with Mark Henry on this one.

Chavo Guerrero wrote the following on Twitter this weekend regarding the reports of him egging Mark Henry on during the fan incident in Belfast: “why would I egg on the worlds strongest man?I know&u know he would could kill someone.If anything I protected him by getting him thrown out. Thank u to all ppl who believe me!If I could get Henry to kill someone,Why wouldn’t I have him kill the writing team,not a drunk nobody? lol”

Yeah I heard the fan was very very drunk and decided to try it on with Henry. His fault no one elses.

Sounds dodgy to me - i mean if it was a drunk fan who was giving him **** then why arrest Henry? Anywhere serving Alcohol has to have CCTV and so the evidence would be there if Henry was completly blamless. Mabye the fan had, had too much, and the differant reports ive seen dont suggest that, you dont throw drinks over people and try to attack them. Simple as. These things catch up with you - one day he'll try it with someone who will give him a nasty shock.
