Drew McIntyre - problems backstage?
« on: May 25, 2010, 01:59:54 pm »
PWTorch.com is reporting that several WWE stars are refusing to work with Drew McIntyre as they proclaim him to be somewhat of a "head case." The feeling is that some of the veteran talent will not work with McIntyre until he improves and stabilizes his in-ring game.

- Drew McIntyre has fallen out of favor with WWE management. He has developed a reputation of being high maintenance.

I also read one which said this but then went on to say "Other sources believe he dropped it so he can win a World Title shot at the Money in the Bank Pay Per View".  Basically, they had no clue!

Drew is by far my favorite wrestler besides Matt Hardy. I think his push has been great and I hope that him dropping the strap is a step towards the World Title. I think that right now, Drew is an even better heel than Swagger.

I dont think matt has a proplem wit drew mac. If anything he could be startin a good fued wih mac when he returns.
He could just be talking to help that fued. As we all know the internet has made a big impact with the wwe these days. So why not, start talking trash threw through tweets or twats whatever.

I really like his character but I think the biggest issue now is his match quality and whether he is actually over, I mean half the time I swear he still gets "Conway Pops"

Drew McIntyre (Drew Galloway, 24) and Tiffany (Taryn Terrel, 24) were married last week in Las Vegas. According to reports in Scotland, McIntyre’s parents were only informed of the wedding 15 minutes before it happened. McIntyre has been getting some backstage heat in recent weeks but it is nothing to do with his marriage. There had been some standard resentment about the young, new talent getting a big push, yet now that the push has continued despite him not getting over this has gotten worse. The original plan for the ‘firing’ angle on Smackdown was that Matt Hardy would petition to get McIntyre reinstated in order to get his revenge. WWE altered this plan on Tuesday afternoon, just before the Smackdown tapings in which McIntyre was automatically reinstated by Vince McMahon, without any involvement from Hardy, and had the Intercontinental Title returned to him.

I'm curious as to where this current feud of his will lead.  He gets all the beatdown victories but keeps losing the resulting matches, are they gonna roll the dice and push him to the top or pull the plug?  For all his actions he isn't getting heat like guys such as Sheamus and "The Nexus" have been.

I thought he was getting some pretty good heel heat on Smackdown last week....

Hmmm, I'd like to think it was genuine. Teddy isn't one of the top faces on the show and Drew's treatment of him seemed to draw a lot of boos...

I think the feud should help with his heat. I'm surprised he doesn't get more reactions. He's cocky, smug, goes running to the boss whenever things don't go his way and is involved in a rivalry with Matt Hardy, who's pretty over....

I've seen Drew twice recently live at Smackdown tapings in Buffalo and Cleveland and the dude gets booed out of the building. When he takes the mic there were loud boos (not Vickie loud but still) I really enjoy his character as this cocky ass heel. I think he will be the heavyweight champ in less than a year.

I like the gimmick, he isn't Kurt Angle as far as in-ring work goes, but I think he's better than Jack Swag.

Make no mistake about it, I like the guy, but for all the effort being put into him, he just isn't getting as over as he should be.  Guys like Swagger may not be as talented but they have got far more heat and reaction.
