I think one "Undisputed" World Title with a brand split end is needed for the added value, but with more people after it we would probably get even shorter reigns and certain guys who have been given a chance to Main Event wouldn't even come close.

I've always rated Booker T and Edge I think they both are Main Event caliber guys.

Never seen Double J as anymore than midcard myself *ducks a guitar shot from Izzy*
