There were no "real" emotions, I felt it was Mr McMahon the character vs Bret Hart the character.. i wanted shoot type real stuff.

They were probably worried that if Hart and Michaels were allowed to say anything, they might just end up fighting each other. Plus, we don't know how much was scripted. I mean, Bret saying "WWE Universe" (aargh!) is obvious, but the rest, we don't know if he was told exactly what to say....

And Bret 'shooting' on Vince wouldn't have fitted the angle, which was Bret wanting to come back and make peace, not trying to confront Vince. Now that Vince has attacked him, there's a chance of more 'shoot' style stuff perhaps...
