WARS ROCK THE GARAGE
 By Joseph Duncan

HAYWARD (APW) – All Pro Wrestling made it's return to The (In)Famous Garage in Hayward, California, for another exciting edition of APW's trademark event, Gym Wars!

Often, professional wrestling promotions will advertise their upcoming events with a line at the bottom that reads “Card Subject to Change”. A couple of the last few events have had to put that disclaimer to use due to unforeseen circumstances, and once again, the match-up between the Reno SCUM (The team comprised of “Rock Legend SCUM” Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) and Late Night Prime Time (The team of “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury and “MPT” Mr. Prime Time) has had to be modified after LNPT's manager, Markus Mac, had notified APW that MPT was too ill to participate in the event. Recently, Markus Mac and LNPT have been up to shenanigans, so All Pro Wrestling sent officials to verify this claim, and did verify that MPT was indeed too ill to be able to compete, so their “Street Fight” match had been re-booked as a one-on-one contest between Rik Luxury of LNPT and Luster The Legend of the SCUM. Since Adam Thornstowe arrived ready to compete, he was given a match against former APW World Wide Internet Champion “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher, who was originally scheduled to face “Hard” Cory Dayton. These last minute changes didn't allow for a press release, but they were reported on APW's website, allprowrestling.com. The following are the results from this past Saturday's epic event:

 Singles Match
Dylan Drake  vs.  “Hard” Cory Dayton

The former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake stepped in as a substitute for Timothy Thatcher to take on fellow fan favorite Cory Dayton. After a hard fought match, the former Champion prevailed, defeating Dayton by submission with the Sharpshooter. Match time: 7:34.

 Winner by submissionDylan Drake

 Singles Match
Tap Out Kid  vs.  “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro

Tap Out Kid has a solid strategy, working over the leg of the Association leader. However, perhaps he should've worked over the arm instead, as “The Nice Guy” landed the Roaring Elbow, and secured the pinfall. Match time: 4:03.

Winner by pinfall“The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro

 Singles Match
“Big Country” Jody Kristofferson  vs. “The First Class Male” Steve Stamp

Steve Stamp attempted to use illegal tactics to win the match, but the power of Kristofferson proved too much for “The First Class Male”, and “Big Country” picked up the win after nailing the running spear. Match time: 3:32

Winner by pinfall“Big Country” Jody Kristofferson

 Singles Match
Tyson Thompson  vs.  “The Boss” Derek Sanders

Tyson Thompson proved to be a star in the making, hanging in very well with the former Universal Heavyweight Champ, even hitting his Running Powerslam. However, the experience of “The Boss” proved too much, as Sanders locked in the “Los Gatos Leglock”, forcing Thompson to tap out and possibly sending a message to Dylan Drake. Match time: 5:57.

Winner by submission: “The Boss” Derek Sanders

 Singles Match
“The Mountain From Stone Mountain” Larry Blackwell with Matthew Theall
vs.  “The Latin Dragon” Junior Morales

The much smaller Morales proved to be one step ahead of the huge mountain Blackwell for the majority of the match. However, one small mistake was all it took for Blackwell to finish off “The Latin Dragon”, hitting the big splash and putting an end to his opponent. Match time: 3:14.

Winner by Pinfall: “The Mountain From Stone Mountain” Larry Blackwell

 Singles Match
 Vennis DeMarco  vs.  Corvus

DeMarco nailed Corvus with the “Face Spank” Full Nelson Bulldog to pick up the win. Match time: 7:53.
After the match, Matthew Theall came out along with Larry Blackwell. After congratulating DeMarco on his win, Theall offered his services to DeMarco, vowing to take what he referred to as a “long time loser” and turn him into a Champion, thus cementing his own legacy as one of, if not THE greatest manager of all time. An insulted DeMarco declined, stating that over recent months, he has learned that the only thing he needs in his corner are the APW fans. This enraged Blackwell, who attacked his one-time 'partner', hitting a big splash, and then attempting another one. DeMarco was saved by an unlikely ally, Mr. Wrestling #4, who vowed that Blackwell would never injure another wrestler the same way that he had been. Wrestling #4 also happened to be carrying a golf club when he came out and was prepared to use this equalizer if needed. After driving off the attackers, Wrestling #4 and DeMarco shook hands in the center of the ring, burying the hatchet and ending their previous rivalry that involved DeMarco placing a bounty on the mask of Mr. Wrestling #4.

 Winner by pinfallVennis DeMarco

 Singles Match
“The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher  vs.
“The Rock Legend SCUM” Adam Thornstowe with Christina Von Eerie

Since Thornstowe's tag-team partner Luster The Legend was now involved in a singles match, the former Universal Heavyweight Champ was given a match with former World Wide Internet Champ Timothy Thatcher, giving us a match between two of the best athletes in Northern California matching up Thornstowe's high impact offense with the technical brilliance of “The British Messiah”. In the end, Thatcher was able to use his superior technique to get the win over one-half of The Reno SCUM. Match time: 8:56.

Winner by pinfall“The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher

Street Fight
“Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury with Markus Mac  vs.  Luster The Legend with Christina Von Eerie

As reported earlier, “MPT” Mr. Prime Time was unable to compete due to serious illness. Therefore, the Tag-Team Street Fight was now a one-on-one affair.
Street Fights are usually brutal matches, and this one was no different, with the two competitors fighting all over The (In)Famous Garage, including into the section of the audience area known as the “War Zone”. Luster prepared to deliver the “Luster Bomb” to finish off Luxury, when Markus Mac got involved. Christina Von Eerie attempted to neutralize Mac, but while the referee was distracted by the two, Luster too a Superkick from... MPT, who apparently was not only well enough to appear at The Garage, but also to deliver what would be the winning move as Rik Luxury got the pinfall. Match Time: 9:23.

Winner by pinfall“Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury

Singles Match
APW World Wide Internet Championship
“Out of Control” Matt Carlos  vs.  APW World Wide Internet Champion “Double D” Dave Dutra

A back-and-forth match. A split crowd. A championship on the line. A great match. These two best friends and tag-team partners know each other very well, and it showed early on in this match. The challenger, relying on speed, while the Champion relied on power.
In the last few minutes of the match, Matt Carlos hit a German Superplex off the top rope on the Champion, but in the process, he locked his ankle under the top rope, and suffered an injury to his knee. Still, the challenger recovered and, mustering everything he had, he was able to hit his “Union Landing” Cutter. However, his momentum carried him away from the Champion, and as the final seconds ran out, the injured ankle of Matt Carlos would not allow the challenger to make the cover. The match would end in a time limit draw. Match time: 30:00.

Eight Man Elimination Tag-Team Match
Dylan Drake, Jeckles The Jester, “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson & Omega
  vs.
APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Malachi, “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro,
The Texas Hangman” Dalton Frost & “The Boss” Derek Sanders

Dylan Drake eliminated Dalton Frost in 9:46 with the Sharpshooter

Derek Sanders eliminated Dylan Drake in 9:50 with a roll up and handful of tights taking advantage of Dylan being off guard after eliminating Frost. After Derek pinned Dylan, "The Boss" was trash talking to Dylan Drake. As Dylan attempted to leave, he had enough of the trashing talking and punched Derek in the face.

OMEGA took advantage and nailed "The Boss" with a double flying knee off the top rope to eliminate him in 10:14

Vinny Massaro was eliminated by disqualification when he hit Jody Kristofferson with a chair in 13:12.

APW Senior Official Tom Castor declared Jody could not continue when the chair to the head by Vinny Massaro knocked him out, thereby eliminating Kristofferson.

Jeckles "The Jester" eliminated the Malachi with the Joke-Slam in 16:53 to win the match for his team.

Jeckles The Jester and OMEGA became the survivors, but with Jeckles The Jester pinning Malachi, the APW Universal Heavyweight Champ, his place is confirmed as the number one contender for the Universal title.

Total combined match time: 16:53.

Winners by survival: Jeckles the Jester & OMEGA
