APW GYM WARS

The (In)Famous APW Garage - Hayward, California
BELL TIME: 6:30pm
DOORS OPEN: 6:00pm

Main Event
Eight-Man Elimination Tag-Team Match

Dylan Drake, Jeckles The Jester, "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson & OMEGA
vs.
APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Malachi,  "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro, "The Hangman" Dalton Frost & "The Boss" Derek Sanders

The aftermath of the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship match at our last Gym Wars event between the champion, Malachi and Dylan Drake became a war zone involving "The Boss" Derek Sanders, Jeckles The Jester, Jody Kristofferson and the rest of The Association members, Vinny Massaro and Dalton Frost turned into a heated brawl between these seven men.

Battle lines have been drawn and at GYM WARS and the MAIN EVENT will be an EIGHT MAN ELIMINATION MATCH featuring the team of Dylan Drake, Jeckles The Jester, "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson, and OMEGA taking on "The Boss" Derek Sanders, the APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Malachi, "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro, and "The Hangman" Dalton Frost.

The captain of his team Dylan Drake, talked with both Jeckles and Jody and decided that OMEGA would be a great addition to their team. He adds not only experience, but also speed. Also with his unorthodox style, OMEGA will offset the straight forward brutality of The Association.

Dylan Drake has his eyes set on revenge against "The Boss" Derek Sanders who interfered behind the referees back and cost Dylan Drake the APW Universal Heavyweight Championship. Dylan needs to focus on a good game plan for his team first if he wants to win this explosive main event match up.

The war between "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson and "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro is far from being over, and with his Association partner by his side, look for Vinny to make sure Jody receives a brutal beating.

APW World Wide Internet Championship
"Out of Control" Matt Carlos   vs.   APW World Wide Internet Champion "Double D" Dave Dutra

“Double D” Dave Dutra shocked the wrestling world when he ended the one year title reign of “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher and captured the APW World Wide Internet Championship. Now, in three weeks the new champion puts the title on the line against the number one contender, “Out Of Control” Matt Carlos. Matt Carlos won the right to meet the APW World Wide Internet Champion when he won The Pick The Winner Battle Royal last Saturday. Now, the popular APW younger steps in the ring with his best friend, tag team partner and training partner in a battle for the championship.
Dave Dutra and Matt Carlos made their way through the APW Boot Camp together. Through that time training, both men became best friends and decided to form a tag team together in All Pro Wrestling. In APW, both men mainly concentrate on their singles careers, but have teamed up on occasion and both always have each others back. Now for the second time ever in their career, they face each in an APW ring and now this time the stakes are at its highest.
Dave Dutra realized his dream of being a champion, and now in his first title defense he must face his best friend. Matt Carlos has dreamed of one day getting his chance to win championship gold in All Pro Wrestling, and now that chance is here and he now must defeat his best friend. Can both these men put their personal friendship behind them?
Many have called Dave Dutra and Matt Carlos the future of All Pro Wrestling. Well the future is now, and both men are ready to turn up the heat on February 6th in the APW World Wide Internet Championship match.

 Tag-Team Street Fight
Late Night Prime Time ("Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury & "MPT" Mr. Prime Time) w/Markus Mac
vs.
The Reno SCUM (Luster The Legend & "Rock Legend Scum" Adam Thornstowe) w/Christina Von Eerie

This feud has hit it’s boiling point and at our last Gym Wars event, it looked like The Reno SCUM was just about to taste sweet victory when Late Night Prime Time bailed out of the ring by the order of their manager Markus Mac and took the count out loss instead of the brutal beating they deserved.
But, there will be no running away this time because in a Street Fight match, ANYTHING GOES! No Time Limit, No Disqualification, and No Count Outs in this violent match. Late Night Prime Time has no place to run and no place to hide on February 6th at GYM WARS. If Markus Mac tries to interfere for his team, then The Reno SCUM”s Christina Von Eerie will make sure he pays for trying to interfere.
Will The Reno SCUM finally end this war with Late Night Prime Time or with Late Night Prime Time become the victors?

 Singles Match
"Hard" Cory Dayton   vs.   "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher

Also signed for Gym Wars will be the former APW World Wide Internet Champion, “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher taking on the always competitive, “Hard” Cory Dayton. Thatcher is looking to get on his winning ways in APW and gear up for his mandatory return match with the man who defeated him for APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight title, “Double D” Dave Dutra.
Timothy Thatcher was very upset with the APW Championship Committee for not receiving his return match on this card, but since the winner of the Pick The Winner Battle Royal was guaranteed a shot at the gold on February 6th, the winner of that Battle Royal, Matt Carlos will be challenging Dave Dutra for the belt. Thatcher forced himself into the Battle Royal and nearly had it won, but caught off guard by Matt Carlos to be the last one eliminated in the Battle Royal.
Thatcher needs to put all his focus on “Hard” Cory Dayton. Dayton’s win-loss record might not look impressive in APW, but each and every time out Cory Dayton puts up a strong effort and is always nearly a half a count away from winning the match.
After his loss to Larry Blackwell at our last Gym Wars event, Dayton showed a lot frustration leaving the ring. Even with the crowd getting behind him for putting up such a hard fought effort, Dayton ignored their cheers and walked to the back very upset with himself. Cory Dayton knows going into this match with Timothy Thatcher a win over the former APW World Wide Internet Champion will turn a lot of heads in APW. Cory Dayton wants to go from being known as “a guy with a lot of potential” to being a champion in All Pro Wrestling. Many experts and his fans believe he can do it, but he has one huge mountain to conquer in “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher to do it.
Will Timothy Thatcher pick up a win and gain momentum into his eventual mandatory rematch for the APW World Wide Internet Championship or will “Hard” Cory Dayton score his biggest in his career?

 Return Match
 Vennis DeMarco   vs.   Corvus Ventura

Vennis DeMarco and Corvus Ventura will have a rematch from last months Gym Wars event. Their first encounter was a hard fought match with both men pulling out all the stops. Larry Blackwell pulled DeMarco's legs from outside the ring and that allowed Corvus Ventura to score the victory. This time though there will no Larry Blackwell in the corner and will be just Vennis DeMarco one on one with Corvus Ventura. I expect another exciting match between these competitors.

 Singles Match
"The Latin Dragon" Junior Morales   vs.   "The Mountain from Stone Mountain" Larry Blackwell w/Matthew Theall

Larry Blackwell on February 6th will have a tough time with quick and speedy and one of the most popular APW young stars in "The Latin Dragon" Junior Morales. Key to victory for Morales is to hit and move and try to get Blackwell fatigued. That is easier said then done as even though Blackwell is 399lbs, he great endurance for his massive size. Expect and exciting cat and mouse game in this match up.

WARS ROCK THE GARAGE
 By Joseph Duncan
 February 7, 2010 11:57 pm PST

HAYWARD (APW) – All Pro Wrestling made it's return to The (In)Famous Garage in Hayward, California, for another exciting edition of APW's trademark event, Gym Wars!

Often, professional wrestling promotions will advertise their upcoming events with a line at the bottom that reads “Card Subject to Change”. A couple of the last few events have had to put that disclaimer to use due to unforeseen circumstances, and once again, the match-up between the Reno SCUM (The team comprised of “Rock Legend SCUM” Adam Thornstowe and Luster The Legend) and Late Night Prime Time (The team of “Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury and “MPT” Mr. Prime Time) has had to be modified after LNPT's manager, Markus Mac, had notified APW that MPT was too ill to participate in the event. Recently, Markus Mac and LNPT have been up to shenanigans, so All Pro Wrestling sent officials to verify this claim, and did verify that MPT was indeed too ill to be able to compete, so their “Street Fight” match had been re-booked as a one-on-one contest between Rik Luxury of LNPT and Luster The Legend of the SCUM. Since Adam Thornstowe arrived ready to compete, he was given a match against former APW World Wide Internet Champion “The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher, who was originally scheduled to face “Hard” Cory Dayton. These last minute changes didn't allow for a press release, but they were reported on APW's website, allprowrestling.com. The following are the results from this past Saturday's epic event:

 Singles Match
Dylan Drake  vs.  “Hard” Cory Dayton

The former APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Dylan Drake stepped in as a substitute for Timothy Thatcher to take on fellow fan favorite Cory Dayton. After a hard fought match, the former Champion prevailed, defeating Dayton by submission with the Sharpshooter. Match time: 7:34.

 Winner by submissionDylan Drake

 Singles Match
Tap Out Kid  vs.  “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro

Tap Out Kid has a solid strategy, working over the leg of the Association leader. However, perhaps he should've worked over the arm instead, as “The Nice Guy” landed the Roaring Elbow, and secured the pinfall. Match time: 4:03.

Winner by pinfall“The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro

 Singles Match
“Big Country” Jody Kristofferson  vs. “The First Class Male” Steve Stamp

Steve Stamp attempted to use illegal tactics to win the match, but the power of Kristofferson proved too much for “The First Class Male”, and “Big Country” picked up the win after nailing the running spear. Match time: 3:32

Winner by pinfall“Big Country” Jody Kristofferson

 Singles Match
Tyson Thompson  vs.  “The Boss” Derek Sanders

Tyson Thompson proved to be a star in the making, hanging in very well with the former Universal Heavyweight Champ, even hitting his Running Powerslam. However, the experience of “The Boss” proved too much, as Sanders locked in the “Los Gatos Leglock”, forcing Thompson to tap out and possibly sending a message to Dylan Drake. Match time: 5:57.

Winner by submission: “The Boss” Derek Sanders

 Singles Match
“The Mountain From Stone Mountain” Larry Blackwell with Matthew Theall
vs.  “The Latin Dragon” Junior Morales

The much smaller Morales proved to be one step ahead of the huge mountain Blackwell for the majority of the match. However, one small mistake was all it took for Blackwell to finish off “The Latin Dragon”, hitting the big splash and putting an end to his opponent. Match time: 3:14.

Winner by Pinfall: “The Mountain From Stone Mountain” Larry Blackwell

 Singles Match
 Vennis DeMarco  vs.  Corvus

DeMarco nailed Corvus with the “Face Spank” Full Nelson Bulldog to pick up the win. Match time: 7:53.
After the match, Matthew Theall came out along with Larry Blackwell. After congratulating DeMarco on his win, Theall offered his services to DeMarco, vowing to take what he referred to as a “long time loser” and turn him into a Champion, thus cementing his own legacy as one of, if not THE greatest manager of all time. An insulted DeMarco declined, stating that over recent months, he has learned that the only thing he needs in his corner are the APW fans. This enraged Blackwell, who attacked his one-time 'partner', hitting a big splash, and then attempting another one. DeMarco was saved by an unlikely ally, Mr. Wrestling #4, who vowed that Blackwell would never injure another wrestler the same way that he had been. Wrestling #4 also happened to be carrying a golf club when he came out and was prepared to use this equalizer if needed. After driving off the attackers, Wrestling #4 and DeMarco shook hands in the center of the ring, burying the hatchet and ending their previous rivalry that involved DeMarco placing a bounty on the mask of Mr. Wrestling #4.

 Winner by pinfallVennis DeMarco

 Singles Match
“The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher  vs.
“The Rock Legend SCUM” Adam Thornstowe with Christina Von Eerie

Since Thornstowe's tag-team partner Luster The Legend was now involved in a singles match, the former Universal Heavyweight Champ was given a match with former World Wide Internet Champ Timothy Thatcher, giving us a match between two of the best athletes in Northern California matching up Thornstowe's high impact offense with the technical brilliance of “The British Messiah”. In the end, Thatcher was able to use his superior technique to get the win over one-half of The Reno SCUM. Match time: 8:56.

Winner by pinfall“The British Messiah” Timothy Thatcher

Street Fight
“Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury with Markus Mac  vs.  Luster The Legend with Christina Von Eerie

As reported earlier, “MPT” Mr. Prime Time was unable to compete due to serious illness. Therefore, the Tag-Team Street Fight was now a one-on-one affair.
Street Fights are usually brutal matches, and this one was no different, with the two competitors fighting all over The (In)Famous Garage, including into the section of the audience area known as the “War Zone”. Luster prepared to deliver the “Luster Bomb” to finish off Luxury, when Markus Mac got involved. Christina Von Eerie attempted to neutralize Mac, but while the referee was distracted by the two, Luster too a Superkick from... MPT, who apparently was not only well enough to appear at The Garage, but also to deliver what would be the winning move as Rik Luxury got the pinfall. Match Time: 9:23.

Winner by pinfall“Wrestling Personified” Rik Luxury

Singles Match
APW World Wide Internet Championship
“Out of Control” Matt Carlos  vs.  APW World Wide Internet Champion “Double D” Dave Dutra

A back-and-forth match. A split crowd. A championship on the line. A great match. These two best friends and tag-team partners know each other very well, and it showed early on in this match. The challenger, relying on speed, while the Champion relied on power.
In the last few minutes of the match, Matt Carlos hit a German Superplex off the top rope on the Champion, but in the process, he locked his ankle under the top rope, and suffered an injury to his knee. Still, the challenger recovered and, mustering everything he had, he was able to hit his “Union Landing” Cutter. However, his momentum carried him away from the Champion, and as the final seconds ran out, the injured ankle of Matt Carlos would not allow the challenger to make the cover. The match would end in a time limit draw. Match time: 30:00.

 Main Event
Eight Man Elimination Tag-Team Match
Dylan Drake, Jeckles The Jester, “Big Country” Jody Kristofferson & Omega
  vs.
APW Universal Heavyweight Champion Malachi, “The Nice Guy” Vinny Massaro,
The Texas Hangman” Dalton Frost & “The Boss” Derek Sanders

Dylan Drake eliminated Dalton Frost in 9:46 with the Sharpshooter

Derek Sanders eliminated Dylan Drake in 9:50 with a roll up and handful of tights taking advantage of Dylan being off guard after eliminating Frost. After Derek pinned Dylan, "The Boss" was trash talking to Dylan Drake. As Dylan attempted to leave, he had enough of the trashing talking and punched Derek in the face.

OMEGA took advantage and nailed "The Boss" with a double flying knee off the top rope to eliminate him in 10:14

Vinny Massaro was eliminated by disqualification when he hit Jody Kristofferson with a chair in 13:12.

APW Senior Official Tom Castor declared Jody could not continue when the chair to the head by Vinny Massaro knocked him out, thereby eliminating Kristofferson.

Jeckles "The Jester" eliminated the Malachi with the Joke-Slam in 16:53 to win the match for his team.

Jeckles The Jester and OMEGA became the survivors, but with Jeckles The Jester pinning Malachi, the APW Universal Heavyweight Champ, his place is confirmed as the number one contender for the Universal title.

Total combined match time: 16:53.

Winners by survival: Jeckles the Jester & OMEGA
