Nexus
« on: June 15, 2010, 02:14:16 pm »
Last week, I am pretty excited after the NXT invasion.. i was a bit perplexed why no one helped John Cena, but finally, something new and exciting, new stars being made no more of the same ole ****.

so Raw starts this week and once again, NXT in the ring! ALRIGHT, something new, something awesome! Wade Barrett does a fantastic job, I really think this group is awesome and has potential...

OH WAIT this is WWE... of course they will find a way Cough WCW invasion Cough to completely **** up this angle.

u have RaW COME out and wipe the floor with NXT and thats fine cause it is the major stars of Raw but then u have **** SANTINO chasing the guys out of the arena? why wouldn't they turn around and beat the **** out of this idiot? who the **** runs from Santino and why was he even in the ring?

Just stupid **** like that drives me crazy. If John Cena, Edge, Orton etc are chasing them, it still is **** **** for them to RUN, how are we gonna believe they are credible threats now when we just were shown how much greater Raw is than them?

so Santino and Mark Henry run 8 guys out of the arena.

**** STUPID

I'm just amazed WWE did something other than a succesion of tag matches involving raw and nxt guys 'how will they work together in this pointless match?'

seems very un-WWE

But it wasn't just Santino chasing them, there was a gang of WWE guys running after the rookies backstage. Santino just kinda ran further than everyone else.

And I wouldn't say it's "****" for them to run. There were more WWE guys out there than NXT guys weren't there? You had Cena, Orton, Edge, Sheamus, Truth, Henry, Regal, Santino, Lawler, Bourne and some others out there. They're heels now, I guess that's what heels do: run away.

I think if you go into this angle expecting something to go wrong, then you're gonna find something if you look hard enough....

I'm loving this storyline.

Nothing in wrestling is BRAND NEW.... but this is damn close. A group of rookies coming in and making a massive impact without being Household names.

Its got great potential.

I kinda agree with D about the Santino thing although the NXT guys were outnumbered so that makes it believeable.

It will be interesting to see how it plays out. I see Cena losing his belt and just going to war with NXT. I think that can be a good storyline.

It would have been a lot more interesting if the NXT mentors (Regal, Miz, Rtruth, Morrison etc) were the ones leading the charge instead of Santino though as it would be a little more close to the plot continuity.

Regardless, WWE seems to have fallen ass backwards into a hot angle when you combine the entire Daniel Bryan saga into this one.

I just don't like having Santino and Jerry Lawler and people like that involved. if u want John Cena, Orton,Edge.. big guns like that, yeah, its believable, but maybe have them chasing NXT with Chairs or something.

I just think there is a right way and a wrong way to build up new stars. The right way is to have them get their ass kicked, but u can also make them seem formidable in the process. Having them just get beat completely down and then run doesn't make them seem tough

same thing i always said about legacy. they book Cody and Ted being the mean street posse so long.. i to this day can't take them serious as threats or tough guys.

The limo scene at the end was just weird. I thought they were gonna kidnap Bret and demand contracts for his release.. now that would be cool... how is hijacking your boss and nearly killing him gonna get u contracts?

The push they are getting is great, what a way to make them all relevant in one angle, this is top stuff, and they did have the big guns taking them out, it was only the running them off bit that was goofy, I mean Mark Henry was leading the pack initially, did he really think he could out run them?  And then just having Santino in shot as they were run off?  That aside though very well done.  Now though I'd like a proper stable name and logo/attire/t-shirts, get them away from the awful NXT armbands....

Title says it all!

I think Barrett, Tarver, Sheffield and Otunga will probally go far and have looked physically dominating in this storyline! Gabriel also looks the part to me!

But should/would they win the SS match? And how would you book them from there?

Getting the trademark, Working this hard to build them up. You would think 6 wrestlers and 1 manager (come on bret aint going to be actually rasslin') they should beat the snot out of the nexus, Personally they should of made this a Survior Series elimination type match. 7 on 7 there is no way to ever get a clean pinfall. There is going to be 3 men on each side of the ring I think its going to be too much as a general tag match to be anything good. I am hoping for a nexus sneak win to keep them building up the wwe created a faction/stable and to what kill it after 2 months, I think the nexus could be booked well for months, give them a win at SS then maybe let them get their hands on some gold, ie two of the members winning tag straps or wade getting a us/ic belt and build this stable up, they are young and talented and I think it would be a waste for it all to end at SS>

They should win that match, for them to really benefit from this the stable needs some longeitivity to it because outside of Barrett I don't think the others have had a big enough chance to shine, if they lost and then were split most of them would be in jobber roles within weeks.  But for them to win, someone else has to get involved they'd never get put over ALL those names as they are.

Part of me thinks there is no way they'd have them beat all these top names, Cena is like the modern day Hogan, but there is still the aspect of the story "This is all part of something bigger", and I assume the bigger part of the picture will be revealed at Summerslam, probably interfere and cost the WWE guys the match.

I say make it an elimination match.

I think it should come down to Barrett, Otunga, Gabriel, Sheffield & Tarver vs Cena, Edge & Jericho (5 on 3)

Edge Spears Sheffield and pins him.... Otunga then hits a spinebuster and Gabriel 450's Edge for the Pin, leaving it 4 on 2.

Jericho then pins Gabriel. And then we get the predictable Jericho/Barrett square up.... Barrett beats Jericho, following a cheap shot from Tarver and then its Otunga, Barrett & Tarver vs Cena.... Cena makes it to Barrett, but ends up losing.

Thats how i'd play it.

^ I like that, aside from Edge spearing Sheffield, did you see Sheffield's spear on RAW, ten times more powerful!

Its weird coz i think Barrett, Sheffield, Tarver, Otunga & Gabriel could really end up doing well from themselves. I'll admit that i thought that Tarver and Sheffield were the worst but as stable heels they really look the part to me.

Having said that.... i'm really liking the look of Husky Harris.

You know what would be awesome.... If Danielson came out and cost Nexus the match and then.... laid out Cena too.

Or really thinking outside the box.... Cena heel turn and alligns with Nexus.
