Ted DiBiase SUCKS!

Seriously, I mean how many times have we heard about how good he is and what plans creative have for him.

He was meant to be the star of Legacy, not Cody.  He as going to turn face to coincide with his big movie and have a massive feud with Orton.  Now admittedly they booked him poorly as a lackey, but since the split, what has he done?

He has feuded with R-Truth and John Morrison, stolen his Dad's gimmick, had Virgil return, got a valet in Maryse and what has he shown for it all?

He has never had a great match, his promos are sub-standard, he is all kinds of bland, I swear if it wasn't for who his dad was he could be close to endeavourville in the not to distant future, he just doesn't come close to living up to the hype.

Cody on the other hand rocks!  I always said he was the more talented one

I do not think that Ted is overrated and here lately I am starting to think Cody Rhodes could be World Champion in the next couple of years.

Yeah I know I once said that "Dashing" Cody Rhodes was retarded but after watching it several time, I think this gimmick is awesome enough for Cody to pull off, and be a serious threat on SmackDown.

As for Ted, I think they need to redo his gimmick and maybe take away his daddy money and make his a common wrestler who has to work his way back to the top of the WWE. He has some talent he just needs to be package right to bring out his talent. 

Give it sometime and we will be talking about Ted and Cody as either current WWE champions or former World Champions.

To be Cody's work as his "Dashing" persona has been great. But thats what a good gimmick can do for you.

Cody Will Never be World Champion.... thats my opinion. He'd have to improve his look for that IMO.

Ted however could be. He has the look and is a decent worker IMO. The gimmick though is crap. I don't mind him having a lackey and a valet and even taking on his Dad's gimmick, but you have to back him with that gimmick.

Much like JBL had... he'd need to be in a mini stable IMO. When he is the head of something paying guys off etc... then it will work. At the moment he is in all the toilet break matches.

He'd be a great contender to win a MITB to give him some direction.

Cody might end up with more titles, but i think Ted will eventully get the big one.

If Ted DiBiase gets a World Title, I riot, he's generic and bland.  It's not like he has got that bad of a gimmick, true ripping off his dad was hardly original but it could have worked if he was as talented as his dad, but he's not even close, sometimes you just have to accept kids aren't as good as their dad.  I don't really need to start a new thread to say this, same goes for David Hart Smith, he is even more bland, he has shown pretty much nothing!

Dibiase needs to work on his charisma! If he can improve on that, then he will go farther.

I believe Dibiase is in line for another push. Smackdown's roster needs a boost, and a few RAW guys will move to Smackdown when they go to Syfy. That leaves room for someone else to get a push and the guy could be Ted Dibiase.

Orton has looked great lately, Rhodes has been on a winning streak and continues to rise, and next its time for Dibiase to make his rise.

Exactly. The gimmick is different, and it has gotten Cody Rhodes so far in such a short amount of time. Some people hate the gimmick because its too cheesy, but some of the best gimmicks are cheesy. Goldust, King Booker, Finlay (wish he did more in WWE), JBL, Mr Kennedy, Heidenrich, Mr Perfect, Matt Hardy (Version 1) etc

That's what I originally thought. I didn't really like his new gimmick at first, but he's played so OTT, that I can't help but like it. I doubt it'll get him to World Title status, but I can certainly see him being the IC Champ at some point.

As for Teddy D, I'm indifferent. Like Yankee said, he needs to work on his charisma. Perhaps going down the route Cody has, and playing the rich, arrogant character more over the top would help. Just as long as they don't completely rehash Ted Snr's gimmick, it could work...
