WWE wrestler Evan Bourne says he's "on the road to recovery" after surgery on Tuesday to repair a shoulder injury.

Bourne addressed his surgery on Twitter today. He was written off TV for the time being on Monday's episode of Raw when C.M. Punk was scripted to injure him after a match.

Bourne is expected to be out for the rest of 2010 recovering from the shoulder surgery. At the end of 2008, Bourne suffered an ankle injury that caused him to miss four months of action.

While Evan Bourne was one of the many rumored names for last night?s Royal Rumble main event, the RAW Superstar is not quite ready to return to action yet. Bourne noted on Twitter this weekend that he was still doing physical therapy. Bourne is scheduled to return in time for WrestleMania 27.
