Sin Cara
« on: April 06, 2011, 08:14:32 pm »
When Sin Cara attacked Sheamus on RAW this past Monday, a WWE crew member pushed a mini-trampoline from under the ring as Cara ran towards it. There was concern backstage that the trick could go wrong if the trampoline wasn?t in the right position, which it wasn?t. The trampoline was positioned so close to the ring that Cara almost didn?t clear the top rope when he went to attack Sheamus.

On a related note, Cara was originally planned to leap from the top rope onto Sheamus on the floor with a tornado twist in mid-air. He called an audible during the angle and ended up doing the high crossbody. The original finish to the angle would have looked better on TV but the crossbody came off nice.

So how did everyone rate his debut?  I thought it looked like he nearly botched things springing into the ring, it seemed a little awkward, overall I liked it, hopefully he gets a chance to use a fair few moves.

Good little introduction for him.  Like you say, the jump looked botched but from what I've read it was something to do with the a little trampoline that was pushed out for him to do his leap not being positioned quite right.

I'm guessing it'll be over with the Sheamus vs Bryan feud?

- Vince McMahon was said to be furious at Sin Cara?s botched entrance on RAW last week when he attacked Sheamus. When the botch happened on RAW last night, there were guys watching monitors in the back that were joking around that ?that was it? for Cara and Primo would probably be fired out of spite.

- Sin Cara was said to be very nervous before his first WWE TV match last night with converting to the WWE style of wrestling. People backstage were very down on him and Primo after their match.

- Vince McMahon hates Sin Cara?s entrance using the trampoline since he?s messed it up two out of three times he?s performed it at a TV taping. After last night?s RAW, the special Cara may be completely scrapped or altered.

That whole style is just so prone to botches. I mean, look at the ending of his match with Primo. That Paul Burchill move off the tope was impressive, the second time he went for it....

I do like him, I say give him time.

Going off these reports it looks like Rey Mysterio might have to wait another decade before he can finally get that surgery he never seems to get time off for...

If they had a cruierweight division he could b a star, I dont think the WWEhs enough small guys to make Sin Car a star. His finisher looked great when it was well executed, but we are taking about Primo who is agile and can work a match for Sin, I can't see Shemus and Sin pulling off a solid PPV match.

This is another international superstar that Vince had brought to WWE just so he can ruin plain and simple! Vince has no plans of using Sin Cara or is he going to bring back the Cruiserweight division so people like Sin Cara and Evan Bourne and flourish and be megastars in their own right!

Vince has a wonderful track record of ruining superstar who he did not make and letting them go thus undervaluing them to the point that they are never able to regain the status they had before they came to the WWE. I give Sin Cara 2 or 3 months and he will be reduce to a jobber or mid carder before he is let go and thus becoming worthless as superstar!

^I'm not sure weeks of vignettes, a press conference and having him attack Sheamus in his first appearance are the signs that Vince plans on 'ruining' him....

That is how Vince does it he pulls them in and makes them believe hey I have a chance to make it here in the WWE and without warning he pulls the rug from under their feet and sends them crashing to the ground watch, and see sooner or later we all be talking about Sin Cara who?

Some people thought Alberto Del Rio would be gone in a matter of months though. ;)

I actually thought his match with Primo was decent and they covered the botch well, dirtsheets can't always be trusted...

i guess WWE scrapped Cruiserweights cause it kind of puts stars in a corner. Say u have a crusierweight champion, its hard to push them into the World Title picture cause the term "Crusierweight" would make the big guys look weak if they were to lose to a crusierweight.

The Mysterio thing proves exactly my point. Mysterio was booked as a giant killer and a guy who used his speed, athleticism and heart to beat down the big guys. Had he been a lightweight or Crusierweight champ his entire career, would've been a harder sell but WWE never put any kind of label on him which in turn allowed him to reach the top.

Crusierweight division was awesome in WCW BUT u never realistically could've bought any of them taking the belt from Hogan or Goldberg thanks to that label. I remember when Rey beat Nash in WCW and thought it was the dumbest thing i had ever seen.
