John Morrison & Melina have backstage heat!

There is backstage heat on both John Morrison and Melina, reports Pro Wrestling Torch. It centers around the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII, which saw Morrison repeatedly brush partner Trish Stratus off.

During their post-match celebration, Stratus hugged Snooki and went to hug Morrison, but he had already turned his back on her. Morrison then led Snooki to the corner of the ring and used the Jersey Shore star as a shield, to guard himself from Stratus.

The backstory behind Morrison?s awkward body language is that either he or Melina, his girlfriend, felt Stratus took her spot in the Six-Person Mixed Tag Team Match at Wrestlemania XXVII. The backstage belief is that he either holds Stratus in contempt for taking Melina?s spot on the card, or had to portray himself as such so that she would believe he was rude to her.

Behind the scenes, Morrison rejected various ideas Stratus had for their match at WrestleMania XXVII, and was said to be very difficult to work with. His outright refusal to comply with any of her suggestions reportedly hurt her feelings. Word quickly spread amongst the locker room, garnering heat.

Many feel Morrison?s unprofessional behavior will set back his standing in WWE since Stratus is highly regarded amongst company personnel.

While Morrison is considered a nice guy, he?s not greatly respected amongst his peers. This dates back several years due to his real-life relationship with Melina. Particularly, he lost a lot of respect for allowing Melina to engage in a sexual relationship with former WWE talent Dave Bautista (a/k/a Batista) while the two were dating. The former WWE Champion made no qualms of being intimately involved with Melina in his 2007 autobiography, Batista Unleashed. He wrote:

?My wife thought I was sleeping with Melina right off the bat, while we were still married. It wasn?t true, but it did make me feel guilty about being friends with her.

?Since then, as I?ve said, Melina and I have gotten closer and our relationship has become physical. That?s caused a bit of controversy, but I don?t give a ****. She?s my friend, and I love her very much.?

Former WWE stars Paul London and Brian Kendrick alleged numerous behind the scenes stories involving Melina and Morrison in their 2010 ?shoot? interview, Brian Kendrick & Paul London?s Excellent Adventure. London stated that Morrison is ?spineless? because he repeatedly permitted Melina to engage in sexual activity with outside partners while the two were dating. He added that Morrison would accompany Melina on dates with her partner of choice. Kendrick also claimed that he himself had been intimate with Melina.

I was really looking forward to working with him. I thought it would be cool if we could do some stuff together. He didn't think it would be that cool. It happens.

John Morrison is not shying away from online reports that he has heat within the WWE locker room. On Monday afternoon, he made light of Trish Stratus alleging during an interview last Friday that he cold-shouldered her following their contest at WrestleMania. Morrison tweeted:

"Raw in Bridgeport today- Lookout @HEELZiggler? I got a mean punch, a furious kick, and a cold shoulder!"

Morrisontweeted the following remark on Friday shortly after Stratus' allegations surfaced online:

"If you don't have enemies, you don't have character."

He also said yesterday that "American Airlines is not smart," likely in reference to Stratus stating that he wasn't too smart in his decision making for their WrestleMania match.

He should just let it go and move on.  Making additional comments will not help at all in the eyes of "creative."  Trish Stratus isn't an active member of the roster so why continue to **** about the issue.

I think the cold shoulder thing aside, the Batista getting a piece of Melina and JoMo doing nothing story is more interesting, mainly because it makes him look like a right wimp! (and idiot)

The feeling at RAW last night among some was that John Morrison would have got R-Truth's spot in the WWE Title Triple Threat at Extreme Rules if it weren't for the heat on him right now for his actions towards Trish Stratus.

At the time though Batista was a main eventer. I think he could have had Jo Mo fired in a second if he did something Big Dave didn't like.

Melina posted the following message yesterday on her Twitter account in response to the negativity she has been engulfed with as of late.

"In Dublin. Such a beautiful day. Listening to TI-Live Your Life. There are hateful people trying to hurt others to make themselves feel better.

People... Just live your life. Enjoy today peeps and love the people who are there for you to the fullest."

Meanwhile, former WWE star Val Venis, who posted an inflammatory video directed towards Melina and boyfriend John Morrison earlier this week, has continued to besmirch the "Sexy, Smart and Powerful" WWE Diva. He posted the following on Twitter in response to a message New Japan Pro Wrestling's Karl Anderson wrote about flying first class:

"If Melina is on your flight, I am sure u could easily become a member of the mile high club."

I don't really blame Morrison to be honest.

I love seeing the big stars come back for Wrestlemania, but when u put yourself into the shoes of the wrestler that gets bumped off the biggest card, it is frustrating

Former WWE star Sean "X-Pac" Waltman feels John Morrison should apologize for his unprofessional conduct towards Trish Stratus at WrestleMania XXVII.

"I think he should be ashamed," Waltman wrote on Twitter. "I think he owes Trish a public apology, and deserves to be in doghouse. Total bullshit."

He continued, "I lost a lot of respect for Morrison over that. He may not care, but he f'n should."

The former WWE Women's Champion stated during a radio interview two weeks ago that Morrison gave her the cold shoulder during their post-match celebration. She also said that he rejected her suggestions during pre-match planning.

Company sources indicate that he and/or his girlfriend Melina believe Stratus took the WrestleMania spot away from the Diva regular, hence Morrison's behavior towards her.

Those on Morrison's side say as he was laying out the match with Stratus, she was insisting that her trademark spots be featured, which led to his resentment. The complaint was that Stratus wanted to be the "star" of the match when its intention was for Nicole "Snooki" Polizzi to garner mainstream attention for WWE. Also, the match was also under extreme time constraints and Morrison should have been treated as a rising star as opposed to "just another guy."

While Stratus is generally regarded well behind the scenes, she has had her share of detractors over the years. She was not popular during her early years in the promotion and there have been complaints of her being arrogant, self-centered and phony. Former WWE announcer Kevin Kelly, who worked with Stratus from 2000 to 2003, was particularly negative towards her during a 2007 "shoot" interview and alleged that she engaged in a sexual relationship with Vince McMahon. Stratus also received a lot of heat from WWE officials for refusing to participate in the 25-Diva Battle Royal at WrestleMania XXV. She reportedly declined working the match because she was not guaranteed she would win. More recently, Stratus drew the ire of numerous Divas as they believe she "took their spots" at WrestleMania XXVII.
