So no qualifiers for the MITB Matches?? I can't remember if they did them for last year's PPV, but they certainly did them for a few of the WM ones.

Surely Sin Cara is going to be in the Smackdown one? Surely?!

For 'Mania they were only competing to get into one MITB match.  With 2 matches, the qualifying matches would probably feature too many no chance jobbers.

The biggest match this year since Taker/Triple H, this one really needs to live up to the hype badly for the sake of fans over 12yrs old.

Only way Punk can lose and not be the same old Super Cena nonsens is if Triple H shows up, pulls out a sledgehammer and calls Punk a doofus .

Should be a good PPV tonight. Hopefully the main event is really good. I know the crowd is going to be on fire during that match. The world title matches and MITB's will decide if this PPV is really good or ok.

WWE could save wrestling with a CM Punk win tonight. would be amazing what they could do angle wise.

They really could generate a lot of interest if Punk did win. However if Punk won, I think someone is cashing in their MITB.

Well, anyone who says that WWE doesn't know how to be interesting after last night is talking a lot of shite. Bryan winning MITB and Punk winning the title (and not losing it to the MITB Match winner)? I doubt many people saw both of those coming. Well, I did in the Powerslam Predictions game ;D. (I also originally had Christian to win by DQ but changed it to Orton at the last minute :steelchair: I would've got all six matches right if I hadn't changed my mind and **** it up again...)

Crowd was a hundred times better than the Capitol Punishment crowd and I knew Cena/Punk would get a great reaction, I just didn't quite expect that level of noise. You rarely hear crowds cheer that loudly these days and that alone made the main event great. The outcome, where they teased both a 'Chicago screwjob' (thank god that didn't happen...) and Del Rio cashing in MITB, was great too. Now we can sit back and see what happens to the title....

Crowd seemed pretty pro-Christian as well, until Orton went apeshit after the match and hit the two RKOs. He seemed to be getting near-Punk levels of cheers. If only all crowds could get into WWE shows like that one. Nice to see Christian with the title again. Hopefully this is the start of a 'proper' reign'. I expect we'll get one more match between the two at Summerslam and hopefully that will be it. Or maybe Bryan cashes in on Christian on Smackdow? Who knows??

The two MITB matches were always going to be good. Can't really say too much other than my two predictions won and I'm glad that they did. It's a shame Sin Cara didn't have much of a chance to do some crazy stuff but I guess if you're going to be taken out of a match, do it the way he did :o. That Powerebomb through the ladder was one of the bumps of the night. Maybe WWE didn't trust him enough not to kill someone (or himself) in the match...

That spot on top of the ladders after Del Rio removed Mysterio's mask was just chaos ;D.

It wasn't a classic by any means, but I thought even Henry/Big Show was an OK match. Every so often they try to make Mark Henry relevant and I'm thinking this time, they might have done it. Him destroying Show's leg after thet match was a nice touch.

All in all, PPV of the year? It may well be. Very little to fault I though, other than my stupid last minute prediction change. Aaaargh!

Why in the blue hell is nobody besides BlowUp talking about this?  This was awesome!

Punk 3:16 had his MOMENT tonight.  The crowd were hot for the whole show, and the nearfalls in the Main Event, the way the crowd were into it, with Punk saying he was leaving, Cena stopping the screwjob, Vince trying to get Del Rio down, it was fuckin' great!

2 really good MITB matches too!  For me the Smackdown one edged it.  Everyone got given spots and I thought benefited from it.  From guys like Slater and Gabriel to obviously Daniel Bryan.  Kane looked like a monster again, Sheamus controlled most of the match.  The only one who didn't benefit really was Sin Cara, lovely spot though with Sheamus putting him threw the ladder.

The Raw one was decent to, I thought Del Rio would win, a few obviously botched spots, Swagger/Kingston falling (although that added to it), Mysterio losing his mask was cool to.

Although it wasn't a classic match, Orton snapping was cool, the crowd were really into it, it was great to see what seemed like some....real emotion for once....he wasn't so...dull.  Bryan should have cashed in!

Henry's monster push is sort of working (although I have a good memory - sexual chocolate, dancing with hornswoggle) I just wish they'd debut a new monster and invest this much in them.

Divas match...skipped it.

Easily PPV of the year.

Missed part of the main event because I nodded off.  I did manage to catch the end which was very good.  For some reason, I cheered when Cena decked Laurantis.  I'll have to rewatch the main event but at least they didn't go with the standard Cena gets beat down/makes superhero comeback routine.  Cole was really annoying during the PPV.

MITB matches delivered.  I think the Smackdown one was slightly better only because there were better workers in that one.  I thought Barrett come out looking pretty good out of that match along with Sheamus.

Raw one was better than anticipated.  I did like how they planned it out where there was a scrum of wrestlers near the top vying for the case.  I would have been peeved if Miz won it in a cheap fashion though.

Orton/Christian was ok.  I liked their other encounters more.  Crowd seemed to be cheering both guys though.  Orton must have screwed up on one of those RKOs near the table because I'm pretty sure the announcers table was supposed to break on one of those RKOs.

Henry/Show was good.  I had zero expectations for this match.  But they kept it relatively short and we got to see Henry break out a submission maneuver.  Plus the post match beatdown was good.

On the end, I would have actually liked to see CM Punk steal the red MITB briefcase from Del Rio as well.  That would have been hilarious.  It's weird that I actually like some of the WWE gimmick ppvs if only because you're guaranteed to get wrestling that deviates from WWE style.

This PPV was better than Wrestlemania. Kudos to WWE for not screwing this up

Randy Orton's intensity after DQ was fantastic. Riveting. had me on the edge of my seat. felt real.

Only problem I have is the constant pushing of Del Rio down our throats... Dude won Royal Rumble NOW money in the bank?

Cmon

If I'm honest.  He may be a good promo guy and solid wrestler, but, well, I'm just finding him boring now.

And guess what?? Just like post Royal Rumble.... dude is already JOBBING???

WTF???

Either push him or don't but having him win these HUGE matches and then jobbing next night is just confusing and dumb. Jobbed to Kofi really? WHY?

It was a fluke roll up loss, it didn't look bad, especially since he'll just cash in on Rey next week.
