Hmm.. I appreciate the sentiment D, but it is my own fault.
Though, it did get me thinking. I know that we've managed this long without it, but maybe we should write into the rules (for future games) that if somebody that you have picked becomes inactive before the game starts (ie. between you picking them and the game itself starting), then you can exchange them for somebody else once all other drafting has finished without it costing you any of your money.
I don't see it as any kind of advantage, seeing as whatever is left by that point ain't going to be much anyway, and it's never nice to be carrying dead weight for the whole game...
I mean, I am at a massive disadvantage now (forget that it's me for a moment (imagine it is somebody that uses their money properly and wisely), and forget that I did it out of ignorance). Realistically, I am going to have to drop Hardy (a first pick) for a sixth (read it, sixth!) pick, which will cost me $20 000; consequently meaning that I am essentially also out of the bidding for anybody big that debuts as well. Of course, I could wait on it... But that would mean that I would have a four man team.
Once more, I am not suggesting that I should be able to do that (hands up, again!, my fault), but it would be pretty unfortunate if somebody picked somebody up who got injured before the game even started...
... It is unlikely, of course, but I just think that maybe it could be written in incase that it did is all...
