Honestly, besides the Main Event, this is a pretty shitty PPV. one of the worst SS cards ever.

Christian vs Orton AGAIN Sigh

Other than the two World Title matches this card looks bad.

Bryan and Barrett should have an ok match. The divas match will be whatever, and Sheamus vs Mark Henry will be ok at best.

Christian and Orton always have good matches, and after Christian said he had something up his sleeve, I am looking forward to this a little.

Punk vs Cena is going to be good of coarse. Hopefully we don't get a bad ending to that match.

I expect 2 more matches to be added. Maybe a tag team title match and some random singles match.

Should be better than last years SummerSlam.

Where is the Miz or Rey mysterio on this card????

They spent too much time on main event and forgot to load up the rest of the card... should have a Miz vs Rey feud right now but WTF??

Isn't he booked for a title match Monday?

I'm guessing the performance by Cee Lo Whathisface is going to take up a bit of time too. :undecided:

I can see Rhodes/Zeke and/or Ziggler/Riley being added though.

Thought that was a cracking show.  The Main Event wasn't quite as good as Money in the Bank, but it was decent.  The Nash appearance was pretty cool, combined with Triple H's shocked look and Del Rio cashing in, really liked that.

Considering who was involved, Henry vs Sheamus was solid, it protected Sheamus with the finish to while still helping carry through Henry's monster push.

Christian and Orton finished their feud with the best match of it and the Edge cameo at the start was good.

Speaking of cameos, Jimmy Hart was a nice surprise, but Steph and Punk's segment, priceless!

The 6 Man saw some good action and Wade Barrett and Bryan gelled well, Wade may have regained some credibility.

Even the Divas match wasn't half bad for what it was.

All in all, a good show.

Alberto Del Rio is WWE Champion! But you.... you already know that. 8) And despite D's complaints about him over at HTGTH, I still like the guy. :P

Despite the lack of advertised match and what I thought was some odd booking, I thought it was a very good show. I kind of liked the total chaos at the end of the show, with the foot on the rope, the appearance by Nash, the MITB cash in. All left you wanting to find out what the hell was going on...

Christian/Orton was very good though I thought Christian would retain (and wanted him to). This is just going to lead to another rematch isn't it? They haven't had a bad match at any point but surely they can't keep this feud going much longer? On a side note, when Edge came out I had a hunch he'd tell Christian to get lost.

Barrett/Bryan I was surprised at. I guess it helps Barrett but Bryan has lost clean twice within a week now....

I thought the Diva's match was pretty good too! Kelly was actually not too bad, she actually pulled of a few good-looking moves. I'm sure people will complain that Beth didn't win but it was with a quick roll-up, it's not like she destroyed Beth or anything...

And although he can get quite annoying at times, I have to say, I LOLed when Michael Cole mentioned Jerry Lawler's "toupee".  :hihi:

Didn't think there was a bad match on the card and it's left me interested in what'll happen next, thumbs up! :D

It's kind of a downer for me seeing what SummerSlam is now compared to what it was a decade ago i.e in 1998,99,00,01,02 ect.

I think some of you guys are too easily pleased. SummerSlam was one of the most important dates of the year for wrestling, with a stacked card every year. iShawn Michaels/Triple H, The Rock/Triple H ladder Match, TLC from 2000, Mysterio/Kurt Angle ect.

Too me it was a one match show this year with Cena vs Pun. Orton/Christian wasn't bad, but I think the original match from SmackDown! earlier in the year was better.

Nash matches where awful in 97 ect.  I'm confused what someone think Punk could get out of a Nash match in 2011.

...He's been where????

The card wasn't as stacked as it has been but I enjoyed both World Title matches and all the matches as a whole, my main issue was the lack of build-up to the rest of the card.

As for Nash, he sucked as a wrestler in '97 but was great as a character/personality.  In 2011 I'm sure he remains much the same, I'm not looking forward to him wrestling, its Nash in storylines which I'm all for, and if he's the muscle behind someone else and stays out of the ring more often than not (which I expect with the state of his body) then great!  If he wrestles on a regular basis though, then I'm not so happy...

A similar argument coul be made for some of the other Summerslams you mentioned, a lot of PPVs get built around one or two key matches. 1999: Austin/HHH/Mankind. 2000: Rock/HHH/Angle and TLC. 2001: Austin/Angle and Booker T/Rock. 2002: Rock/Lesnar, HHH/Michaels and so on.

I think it's easy to look back to ten years ago and think everything was fantastic and while that period was no doubt great, the PPVs back then still had forgettable filler on them too.

That was just terrible. Devoid of passion or tension.

Does any planning go into this stuff anymore? Who's coming away from that thinking 'that was incredible!'

Surely even the wrestlers are now bored of the product, can't believe even Vince enjoys the show anymore

It was a poorly thought out ending

John Cena would NEVER put his foot on the rope. Cena is about Hustle Loyalty Respect and being tough/strong guy etc.... He kicks out.. He doesn't do the **** foot on the rope thing. That was mistake number 1

Mistake number 2: if u are going to push Albert Del Rio PUSH HIM.. Don't have him win two of the biggest matches of the year and then put him back jobbing..... Build him UP or **** off

Having him beat CM Punk in such a stupid way so soon just rubs me the wrong way.. its lazy... CM has the best gimmick/storyline going in a decade and they Just **** all over it by letting some glorified Jobber cash in a stupid briefcase at what should've been the beginning of the CM punk era of wrestling.....

Is Vince Russo still booking this **** or what? Do they want to fail and not make money or get ratings?? Cause they are being extremely successful at that.

As I said at the other site who's name we shan't say (:P), to me, the ending of SS gives Punk more to do than if he had just beat Cena clean. There was almost a 100% chance of the match at SS ending cleanly without a hitch. To me, Punk being pissed off at Nash and HHH and whoever else at screwing him out of the title and searching for answers is more interesting than him being champ and just being shunted into a feud with someone who wins a #1 Contender's match or something.

People don't need a belt to be interesting and TBH I'd rather see an angry, determined, vengeful Punk out for answers than a smug, holier-than-thou Punk as champion with not much to o but face some random challengers.

As for Cena never putting his foot on the rope.... he once taped Batista's legs together around the ring post to win a Last Man Standing Match. :P

And just one last random point no one seems to have mentioned: on Raw Nash said that HHH told him to attack "the winner", not Punk specifically. Noteworthy I believe....
