The Legacy were made to look very good in defeat, better than they have ever been made to look infact, wonder what took them so long.

According to the RAW broadcast team, thats Slash from Guns N' Roses in the crowd...  :o

That fan during Orton/Cena was a plant for sure.Otherwise they wouldn't talk about it in a headline on WWE.COM. I guess that was a creative way to have Cena lose but still remain strong.

Edited for possible spoilers.

TLC was obviously match of the night, and Cena/Orton was better than I expected. I think the ending made it different from what we've seen before.

I'm sure some will complain that Legacy lost, but as Hammy said, they did look strong, stopping lots of DX's big moves.

Christian/Regal was.... epic. But it does give me hope for the next WWE game and the pushes of Kozlov and Jackson. 8)

And since when did Ranjin Singh become Khali's brother Since last Friday?? :weightlifting:

And I don't know if he meant to say it, or if he was being sarcastic or what, but I laughed when JR referred to the Big Show as "the largest man in the world". :hihi:

Cool to see Slash there too. :)

Ziggler hit a fameasser again, that was a great moment, until JR called it a running leg drop, way to kill the move  :(

Ziggler looked good in defeat as well and its only a matter of time before he triumphs, their match was a lot better this time, really good way to kick the show off (well that and the goofy intro vid, I'll admit it, I laughed  :DX: )

Somehow I don't think Slash will get asked to guest host anytime soon...

From his Twitter:
"WWE female wrestlers look like a bunch of pissed off strippers"

Also D, did you jump out of your seat when you saw Tito Ortiz sitting behind Freddy Prinze Jr.?  ;)

Unspeakably dreadful

punk v hardy just about salvaged something and takers switeroo was great

...but this was the worst in an ever worsening line of ppv

legacy crushed, ffs dx come out to the biggest intro in years and who is being put over?!

Really sells me on ECW too

that orton v cena match was the biggest mess up since THAT rumble...

What on earth are they doing

I wouldn't say they were crushed. They looked pretty strong at points and the announcers kept putting over how they were stopping DX from hitting their big moves.

The DX intro with the tank fits in with their OTT gimmick.

Oh cmon, they were beaten - and it was never in doubt

every one of us called that match on the predictions thread

I'm highly dubious how anyone gets put over in a convincing and CLEAN defeat

Obviously a win would have been better, but I think they can still take something from the match. "We took DX to the limit..." and so forth.

I think what happened was better than if Legecy had won by interference/cheating etc.

Exactly, you can lose clean but if its damn close it can help you no end.

See Edge vs. John Morrison as a prime example of making someone look like a star in defeat.

Also the whole, well it was predictable, so was HBK vs Taker but HBK was hardly squashed  :P

And you say clean like its a dirty word...

WWE have made mistakes and squashed guys, Cena killed Miz, Triple H killed MVP and most of the time they have killed The Legacy, but this is one time they did a good job, and heck the feud doesn't appear to be over yet anyway...

I'll add my thoughts on the PPV:

Rey vs Ziggler--much better than last month as they picked up the pace.  Solid opener

MVP vs Jack Swagger--slow and plodding and lifeless.  This seemed more like a RAW tv match.  If you ever wondered why people complain about "WWE style"  of wrestling, watch this match.

Jericho + Big Show vs Cryme Tyme--ok match.  During the match I wondered which member of Cryme Tyme would be a more successful singles wrestler in WWE, JTG or Shad.  JTG seems like he can move better, but Shad has the look that Vince prefers.

Kane vs Khali--**** break match.  I ended up tuning this out as I was getting bored with the PPV.  At least it was kept relatively short.

DX vs Legacy--Ugh.  DX intro took like 10 minutes.  I'm with Izzy here as I don't think Legacy was ever close in defeating DX during the match and I think most of the stuff in trying to make Legacy look good hurt the match.  Wrestling matches are essentially visual stories, HBK vs Taker and Morrison vs Edge told compelling stories, this did not have that.  It was a 10 minute match padded with extra stuff that didn't work.  Sometimes less is more.  I didn't really like the flow in this match either.

Regal vs Christian--with the amount of time they ended wasting on DX and Cena vs Orton, they wasted this match.  I like both guys too and wanted to see this.

Cena vs Orton--an epic clusterfuck.  Why are they trying to make Orton look this weak?  It doesn't make any sense.  After the first restart, it would have made more sense for the match to be a no dq, no countout streetfight.  The match would at least play to both wrestlers strengths and eliminated those darn chinlocks.  They could have done a Legacy run in to help Orton  win if they wanted to continue the feud.  Only entertainment for me was watching the crowd turn on Cena and cheer Orton.

CM Punk vs Jeff Hardy--solid match.  Helps make up for the POS that was the previous match.

In short, I can't remember the last time I got fully entertained by a WWE ppv.  Some matches entertain me but on the whole these PPV are getting to be a chore to sit though.  I think I enjoyed maybe 50 minutes out of this PPV.  You know its bad when one of your most entertaining moments of the night is seeing Maria Menounous and Slash sitting in the audience.

Thumbs WAAAY down for me.
