Spotify a tune! (The lucky dip of music sampling)

This is a thread for those with spotify, if you don't have it you seriously need to download it, its free and the best way to discover new music, do yourself and your ears a favour.

Anyway this thread is like a lucky dip recommendation thread.  You post a spotify link and the next person follows the link, listens to the tune and reports back, did they like it etc. and then they post one of their own.  Remember when you post the link, don't say what the song is, that will spoil the surprise....

Well, I had a suspicion it would be this kind of tune, haha. It's quite catchy, with some pretty cool backing vocal work. Has chord progression that I've fairly heard used since this sort of era.

Right, well I hated the beginning, and was convinced that her voice (you know, that voice) would do my head in.

But as it went on, while I didn't come right round to it, I can see the appeal. I did find things on the musical side a bit boring, and I couldn't help but think that it sounded like it was from an advert.

But hey!, while it's not my thing it didn't annoy me, and I could happily have it on in the background if somebody else wanted to listen to it. I mean, it's hardly The Veronicas.

Not usually into that sort of stuff but I was pleasently suprised by that. Alot of it had a Bob Dylan feel to it, but more upbeat ofcourse. Catchy melody for the chorus and very catchy guitar chord sequence.

Musically, it was quite cheery actually, almost like Big Country or something. I groaned when I saw the name, I'll admit, but ended up thinking it was alright.

Never heard of the act before.  My first thought was Evo's been listening to hippies again      Not really my thing to be honest, decent vocals and a lot going on with random instruments, I'm hearing a tambourine, pleasant enough, but I'm not going to rush out and buy a record of theirs.

Ah classic! Absolutally love that song. Its just one of those songs you have to sing along to when its on regardless of the mood your in. I'd forgotten about that gem, so thanks very much for reminding me!

I wasn't sure at the beginning, but it kind of grew on me as the song went on.

The problem that I had with it though is it had the wall of music that usually gets me; there seems to be quite a lot going on, but none of it is too discernable, especially behind the vocals. Though that actually seemed to come and go, and there were quite a few things going on that I liked, so I guess that it was apropriate. Maybe I'll even listen to it again...
