I've read that TEW 2005 will be avaliable for free from www.greydogsoftware.com from July 1st. It's like Extreme Warfare Revenge but a bit more detailed, so we'll see if it's any good I suppose.

Holy smokes.  If that is true that is going to be great.  I've always wanted to play that but skipped out money wise on it and stuck with the free, addictive, quality EWR.

Great news, have heard good news about it. Hammy, if you thought EWR was compelling this is said to be more so and also more detailed.

I've played all 2005, 2007 and i also bought the new game. I think its really good. Obviously its a fictional roster unless you download the patch. However i find that the fictional universe is more fun to play. 2009 is extremly in-depth and i often look at 2005 and think how much simpler it was and even probally more fun.

It will be fun if we all go get 2005 and can have discussions on here.

Exactly, sometimes games get too many additions and their complex realistic vibe just kill the fun.  Like with the Championship Manager Football Series of games.  My favourite has always been Champ Man 2 97/98.

I've got that game too dude's. Its fun. Once again a fictional database but its a clever game. Different from TEW in obvious ways but fun. The problem with both of these games are they need alot of time to be devoted to them.

I had a game on WMMA and i had this guy who was brilliant and went like 16-0 and then just couldn't win.... it was so strange. He ended up at 16-5 when his contract ran out. Still to this day have not figured it out.
