D,  don't just say I am a wwe fan and not a wresting fan.  Lod were never great in wwe. Demolition had an extrance that pumped you up.  I think you like lod so much because you liketheir football spikes and would love to sit your ass on them.

Edit: Split Topics to make this LOD vs. Demolition discussion.

U just sound like a noob

U never watched wrestling in the 80's when they were the biggest thing going.

Road Warriors are considered by every expert a top 5 tag team
Demolition don't crack anybody's top 15

Im shocked u don't think John Cena is better than Hulk Hogan

Are you serious? LOD did nothing in WWE, and Demolition did?

If I am not mistaken Demolition was seen as a cheap rip off of LOD, and I believe that even Smash of Demolition ever admitted that Demolition was a cheap rip off of LOD. Come on LOD was the first tag team to win the AWA, NWA, WWE World Tag Team titles. I do believe that LOD won the WWE World Tag Teams on three different times, and Demolition only held those belts maybe twice I am not for sure but when you talk about tag team wrestling LOD is always one of the top teams on anybody list.

Plus I don't see a DVD on Demolition but I do see one on LOD and if my memory serves me correct it has Smash on there saying that Demolition was a cheap copy of LOD. Oh yeah it when I hear the LOD ring music I get goosebumps!

OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOH What A Rush!!!!!!!!!!!!

My heart burns with a desire as it screams out for me to show you the error of your ways, and set you on the path of Righteousness!

To be honest, as I kid I enjoyed Demolition more than LOD. Back then Demolition were just starting with Crush, all the switching under the ring in tag matches ect. I just found entertaining. Plus I really found LOD's promos annoying more than anything. Thats just my opinion though.

Whats better though, number of reigns or the length?  :P  Demolition still hold the record today for the longest reign.

I understand the MASSIVE impact the Road Warriors had, I own the DVD, I realise how popular they were and even Barry Darsow does admit they were a rip off, but he also thinks they should had had a better feud.

Demolition were clearly created as a rip-off but they were a big hit, they were massively over, but once Vince finally signed LOD they were quickly tossed aside in favour of the "Originals".  That is pretty much fact.

But when it comes to opinion, for someone like myself, I prefer Demolition, the matches, the promos, the entrance music.

This is a prime example I think of, "You had to be there".  I'm sure for you guys who experienced the Road Warriors first hand in their prime it was fantastic, but for those of us who look back, we often see things differently.

Take the Road Warrios DVD I have, most matches are SQUASH matches, as they said thats the way they worked for the most part, their gimmick was the fact they were vicious, brutal, destructive, but for me those matches do not compare to the likes of Demoliton vs. Hart Foundation, Strike Force, Rockers, British Bulldogs, Orient Express etc.

That's what is good though, we all have different views, it'd be boring if we all liked the same teams, no doubt Road Warriors were bigger and more popular but for many people that doesn't mean they were better.

so u judge ring entrances on who was the best?

U guys drive me crazy because u are the same type of people who say Robin is better than Slash cause he covers Slash's songs...... It is just ludicrous. A Copy cat can't be better than the original

LOD were better wrestlers, more dominant, bigger draw

U guys have no clue the impact and how many doors the Road Warriors opened for tag team wrestling. They showed that a tag team could draw main event numbers.

They were innovative, intimidating could do the face or heel and they were larger than life.

Demolition were a good team but in the history books of wrestling, LOD will be right there with The Steiners and Harlem Heat for the greatest tag team of all time.

Demolition will be a foot note.

As I said, this is as ridiculous as saying John Cena is better than Hulk Hogan.

I merely said I prefer the entrance music AS WELL AS their interviews/promos and their wrestling matches.

I ALSO said that I understand Road Warriors are more popular and will go down in history as being better, I simply stated that I prefer Demolition, you take these things too seriously sometimes dude, its not a crime if people disagree.

Incidently I couldn't give a **** about Slash or Finck if I did I'd go join a NIN or Velvet Revolver board  :P

D,  don't even TRY and tell me I wasn't there back in the 1980s.  I might of been a young lad but I remember it clearly I went to 2 or 3 "house shows" pre 1990  and if you want to check my credit I went to the BIGGEST wrestling ppv of all time. Don't accuse me of not being there in the 80's. I've seen hogan wrestling in 2 different promtions under 3 different decades in person.  I seen macho man from ic to world champion to macho king,to macho face, to raw announcer, to wcw, to nwo macho, wolf pack macho, to rapper macho in a featured roled in spiderman. Do you need me to bust out my picture with owen hart when I met him as a child to prove I was there?

Since the 1980s I think I've witness 7 or 8 wwe events, 4 or 5 wcw events and 2 original ecw events.

Now onto LOD and Demolition. I know I'm not going to convince anyone to switch sides but hereshow COWBELL sees it.

To call Demolition merely a ripoff is merely underrated. A ripoffto me is gillberg.  Now while Vince used the idea of lod to create Demolition they stood their own ground.  To me isn't lod just a rip off from the mel gibson mad maxx movies?

Championships, yes LOD had more.  They were a lot younger when they started out where as Demolition was created using ring vets. Darsow wasn't even in the original plotted Demolition, then they brought in Crush freebird style because Ax was getting too old, if they would of been younger and had owned their names they could of done something besides wwf.  Vince owned the trademark and wouldn't let Darsow and the original guy use anything close to sounding like demolition afterwards. So that's why LOD got around so much. Once they got est in WWE they were set and isn't that why vince started calling them lod instead of roadwarriors for he could make more money.

Matches and fueds. I give this to Demolition as they didn't do the quick squashmatches with a doomsday. Hell there 2 out of 3 falls match with Hart Foundation is a classic. They fueded with better teams.

Dvd? Hell if you want to see Darsow getting paid to come in foran interview saying how they were just a lod ripoff and see a great selection of squash matches go check out amazon.com

Entrance and promos. The leather studs, facepaint, was great.to me they were more intimidating. With or without fuji by there side seeing them cut promos on their opponents could be used to this day as a teaching application for new tag teams on how to make it.

Also for me LOD could of been better had they "burned out" instead of milking it too long, playing hawk as a drunk on tv and then lod 2000 is a little too much for me.

In the end my pick will always be Demolition they would give the fans more enterainment then LOD could.

Im not trying to say Demolition suck or anything but LOD/Road Warriors are one of the greatest tag teams of all time. Demolition aren't. they would be on that next tier of tag team after Steiners,Harlem HEat, LOD, Hart Foundation, British Bulldogs

'Nature Boy' Ric Flair & 'Nature Boy' Buddy Rogers? Invalid argument.

I've watched countless hours of videos from 80's wrestling, so that point doesn't really wash with me. My older brother was a big LOD fan yet my eldest brother was a big Demolition fan so again I think an age issue isn't valid. Its just about personal opinion, I don't mind LOD but have always preferred Demolition there is just more to connect with I feel.
