i think they want to see if it gets better ratings then before, if it does the same then it could be the last season.

Filler episode this week, was probably the weakest episode this season, it was amusing though when Dean said he'd never even seen House of Wax and Sam looked at him funny given that the actor who plays Sam starred in that movie with the "Special Guest Star" Paris Hilton.

The CW is reportedly close to announcing a sixth season renewal for Supernatural.

It was previously reported that show creator Eric Kripke had planned to end the series after the current fifth season, but Cinemaspy says that a renewal is imminent.

The network has yet to release an official statement about the programme's future.

Supernatural, starring Jared Padalecki and Jensen Ackles, airs Thursdays on The CW.

Watched the first episode back after a little break, loved it, the whole story with the dead rising was great! Clearly made little nods to Night of the Living Dead and Assault on Precinct 13
