TNA adding yet more Titles!

TNA are adding another set of belts with the new Knockout Tag Team Titles.

This is getting so ridiculous. 7 titles for a whole 2 hours of tv a week! TNA are very much WCW 2000.

Well, this is really their sixth belt as the IGWP Tag Belts can be taken back pretty easily. I don't see why not though, if the X Division gets it's own show, there's enough space.

The WWF had a similar set-up towards the end of the 90s.

I see no problem with a womens tag belt, its something different and something wwe doesnt have and yet we already see lots of diva tag matches. I am for it but they should give back New Japans Tag belts as it now makes 3 tag team champions. THere isnt enough time on TV for 3 titles. Heck with  mens titles I dont even know what a tag teams goal should be, you need a top of the mountain and now you have two seperate world tag belts? I cant see the japanese titles staying long if they bring in another title of their own.

I think it is good that TNA is going to invest some new titles for their female division, which tells me that TNA values it's female wrestlers skills more than their looks.


  Secondly I don't think TNA has 7 titles I don't count the IwGP Tag Team titles as TNA titles because pretty soon they will be back in Japan where they belong second.  I think TNA needs to add an X-Division tag team titles and everything will be set.

As far as them having all these titles, there is nothing wrong with it because you those titles as stepping stones for the bigger title. Oh yeah WCW only had 6 titles

I Agree with a few people's view here. But Womens Tag Titles.... Arghhh. I know TNA Knockouts are superior to the WWE Diva (so i've been told) but i don't like it.

WWE has two world titles simply coz of the brand split. I think its essential to have one on both. Whether i agree with the Brand Split is a whole other matter. Where WWE is just plain Stupid is having two Womens titles. Put all the best ladies on one Brand and cut the fat.

I hate TNA's Legends belt.... Hate it. Is a joke to me. Its simply there to appease the big names, who have fallen away from being credible World Champions. Get rid of it and bring in a similar level title geared more towards guys like Morgan, Hernandez, Roode, Booker T, Abyss, Rhino etc. Call it TNA International title or TNA Elite Title.... Just not Legends.

Get rid of the Japan titles... No point. They have so much talent in the X-Divison why not have a Tag X-Divison title to give the likes of MCMG & Lethal consesquences something to get their teeth into. It would be a great way to keep that special X-Division feel why keeping the Singles X-Div Title strong with guys like Daniels, Joe, Styles.

Knockouts tag title is genius

Something new - really develops the Knockout division into a stand alone entity - its not just bolted on to the mens league

It will enable far more divas to get screen time - TNA is spoilt for chocie with potential women's champions, only seems fair

TNA has made womens wrestling great - i really enjoy the matches (whereas I dont give a shite about the WWE Divas)

Get rid of IWGP tag team titles?  Am I the only person who realize that IWGP tag team title belong to NJPW and although they are on the British Invasion that sooner or later they will be going back to NJPW soon?

I do agree the legend title is stupid, and it should be remove or rename to something like TNA America title or International title or Television title.

Also does anyone realize that WWE has 2 World titles, 2 Diva titles, Intercontinental title, Us title, ECW title, tag team titles? That is like 8 titles and that is major over kill if you ask me!

I agree they cancel each other out in many cases, since this is the "TNA" section though, point still stands with TNA, they have too many as well for a 2 hour broadcast, now if they get this other tv show that changes things, but show before titles would make more sense....

They might win me over but I'm not too keen on Women's Tag Titles, even women's wrestling at the highest standard I want no more than one match per broadcast, I like they have depth to the division so they can keep it fresh, but for me I don't want too much of it, clearly many disagree since their segments are generally the highest rated (or were) and kills the X-Division ratings wise.

Several sets of tag titles, no matter how "temporary/semi permanent" still count!  Title defences on like the last 3 PPVs kind of highlight that.

Legends is a waste, forget renaming it, if the X-Division is treated right its not needed.  Lashley and Morgan have already dabbled in the Main Event and are beyond a 2nd Title and the X-Division covers guys like Styles, Joe, Hernandez.

Get this other show installed then bring in another belt.

5 belts like that, for two shows would be more than enough.  Really good feuds don't need belts thrown in obviously the ultimate goal should be to be a champion but that doesn't mean creating an endless amount of belts so there are enough to go round, take Beer Money and British Invasion its a great feud with or without the straps and it should be the winners earning the right to go after the TNA Tag straps.

And on the subject of titles, are we ever going to get another 12 month reign, anywhere?  Something meaningful?  Even though TNA and "Other Promotions" in recent times have had good feuds over titles, we just don't get the lengthy reign, it seems to be people's attention spans are too short, lets pass the straps around which for all the importance of fighting over the belts, devalues them when they get passed around monthly, its like Attitude Era title reigns these days.

Now is the time, Joe could have a massive X reign and take that belt back to be huge, heck built right him and Styles should Main Event a PPV for it!
