They do need to look again at the legends title - it's perfect for Hernandez and Morgan yet both bypassed it! What is the belt for?

I've always believed a 2nd belt is needed to get audiences used to a new potential heavyweight champ. It's a chance to make up and coming guys look the part (and see if they've made any mistakes)

Tna has loads of candidates and they have all missed it

fire Russo....perhaps

I am normally not a big fan of women's wrestling but TNA's knockouts are so good, I don't mind it at all as long as they keep Jenna and Sharmell far from the ring.

From watching WCW I like the idea of a "TV Title" with time limit bouts, great feud builder.

Clearly it would be a midcard title, its a down the road when they have a few shows sort of belt but I'd like the addition.

...thats a stupid dated stigma, heck the belts so old, based on the "7 year cycle" most won't remember the mess the belt became, a few well booked feuds over it and the belt has some prestige, the feuds over the titles are what make it.

The problem with TNA is that there is no proper midcard belt. Youve got the womens belts, the heavyweight title for the main eventers, x division for the high-flyers/daredevil/cruiserweight style guys, two tag titles for some reason and a legends belt that by sheer definition means that only a limited number of guys can go after it. So many of the guys on the roster seem to be stuck either trying to fit into the x division, in tag team competition or being pushed into the main event scene without enough credibility because of the lack of a solid midcard belt akin to the IC title in WWE. Get rid of the Japanese tag titles and the legends belt and bring in a solid midcard belt, the 2nd strap of the company, put it on a solid veteran and use it to build the main event status of guys like Hernandez and Morgan and as a device to allow some of the break away stars of current tag teams to build up as a solo stars.
"Who are you to doubt El Dandy? This guy is a serious professional."
