I am a massive Undertaker fan and marked big time for his apperance at SS. I never get tired of the lights going out and Taker being there when they come back on.

I think i've said before that i'd really like to see Punk vs Taker at Mania, but not with the title on the line. But looks like the trigger has been pulled early on the feud.

My question is with Guys like Matt Hardy, Morrsion, Ziggler & Rey on the SD, will Taker coming straight back and going after Punk and the title be good or bad for SD?

I think we can all agree that SD is much better than RAW of late and i think the main reason behind that is that the in-ring action is better and the show has a "fresh" feeling with many younger and less "over-exposed" guys. CM Punk & Jeff Hardy have been really good for the show. I was expecting a Punk win as its no secret that Jeff's contract was expiring. But i was kinda expecting a JohnMorrison / CM Punk feud that might last over several PPV's. With Taker back that looks unlikely.

My question is where do guys like Morrison fit into SD now. Has Ziggler run out of shots at the IC Title? and therefore a Rey vs Morrison Feud is in the works for the IC title? But personally i feel there is more left between the excellent Ziggler & Rey.

With Taker back there is Punk, Taker, Morrison, Matt Hardy (when fully back), Ziggler & Rey so logic say that there are three 1 on 1 feuds there but i just feel that Morrison needs to be used well from now to Mania to capitilise on his talents. He either needs to have the IC title for a long time (Kind of like RVD, when he had the TV title in ECW)... Maybe even til Mania or needs to get in amongst the world title picture.

Ziggler is brilliant IMO. I thought him and Rey stole the show at SS (obviously the TLC was great but.....) and he seems perfect for a IC title reign.  Should they get the belt on Ziggler and let a Morrison vs Ziggler feud happen.... leaving Rey and Matt Hardy to feud.

So many questions.... it wll be interesting to see what happens with SD over the next 4 to 8 weeks.

OPINIONS?

Personally I will alwaysbe an UT fan in ring and out of it. I can't say anything bad about him. But I hope they don't plan on rushing him back to loose cleanly to punk anytime soon.  It those two are two fued longterm I want cheap and dq finishes against the undertaker. Either that or have someone like ziggler, or another heel cost UT the title against punk and have taker fued with them.

Matt Hardy is it just me or now that him and jeff are cool again have matt fued with punk to avenge his brother. I don't want to rey hold that title anymore as its a token on him and that belt should be building up the middlecard talent.

Its hard because they are obviously looking to strengthen the IC title again after it became a joke and keepin the belt on Rey does do that. However also agree that givng someone like Ziggler the title could make a geniune star out of him like it did for many others. Its a thin line between keeping the belt "Strong" and using the belt to build midcard talent. You could definatly argue that Rey is more than a midcarder and Ziggler is pretty close to being more than a midcarder too.

Rey vs Matt Hardy, Ziggler vs Rey & Taker vs Punk could be great TV as long as now Taker is back it doesn't all revolve around him like this weeks RAW revolved around D-X, coz thats not how SD has become good. Its done it with solid matches and some good wrestlers who wouldn't get anywhere had they started on RAW.

As big of a Ziggler fan that I am, I'm actually happy Rey has held on to the strap.  Ziggler has been made to look very good in their battles, and we need an IC reign where we can look back in years to come and say THAT was a classic reign.  So far he has had a classic feud with Jericho and some good defences against Ziggler.  Rather than going the inevitable route of Ziggler winning it in the next month, I'd like Rey to feud with someone else over it, but who?  The quality guys on Smackdown at that level are John Morrison and Matt Hardy, both babyfaces.  A respect feud could work, Morrison vs. Rey and have Hardy vs. Ziggler maybe while Undertaker goes after Punk.

Thing is with Breaking Point only 3 weeks away are they going to have Punk vs. Undertaker already, in a submission match?  Surely 'Taker wouldn't tap, but another short reign for Punk would be a crime.  One suggestion at another forum thats seems likely is Matt, seeking retribution for his brothers loss goes after Punk and Punk beats him at Breaking Point, thus extending the reign and Taker takes Punk on at Hell in a Cell.

I like Undertaker coming back, on the topic of him, he is a quality act who has improved with age.  1990-1995 he was merely a gimmick, his matches were the pits, mainly because he got put against guys with zero talent, but still, he wasn't about mat classics.  Mankind and Bret Hart were the first to get really good matches out of him, and he did alright until a lull at one point during his American Bad Ass run where retirement looked like the best option.  These days though I think he is fantastic and despite the injuries better than he has ever been, due to his ever expanding in ring knowledge, unless paired with a Mark Henry I know when I see a match of his its going to be damn good.

Now Smackdown is great with the young stars, but logic says with a limited roster things would have eventually become exhausted, also this show is too good for the numbers it is getting.  Since Edge's injury it has missed that star drawing power that gets viewers in, Jeff Hardy seemed to be the one drawing trump card, and with his departure inevitable they obviously need a name like Undertaker to bring the fans in, having Big Show turn up isn't going to put bums in seats.

So yes, I am happy to see him return.  I hope they don't feel the need to bring any guys over from other brands for at least 12 months, I think with the current structure the guys showing up should be from development getting their shot on the brand.

Edit: Incidently Spoilers are only "Spoilers" and an issue if they haven't aired yet

If you guys remember the match against Shelton Benjamin for instance, early this year, you'll know he does sell offence and make mid carders look they belong in the same ring as him.

While never vulnerable, he does make his opponents look like a threat, more often than Triple H.

Perfect solution and dare I say, with the improved booking on "SmackDown", actually possible.

Even slowly building towards a "Survivor Series" match, would be reasonable in a perfect world (obviously not going to happen).
