My job is done

this dude is a jobber and I wouldn't bid 20k on him

I just wanted to drive the price up

^I wouldn't have minded if I'd won him but I wasn't too bothered. I was hoping some poor sucker - or Jim - would bid lots for him.

I don't think McIntyre will be a jobber, at least not in this game. I think he'll get a few points in squashes etc. like most guys who debut do.

I just didn't want to spend that much on him. :)

nah, SD is too crowded.. he may get a push next game, but they will slowly bring him a long.

Drew McIntyre sounds like he should be in a boy band.

Ok ok drinking and I wantthedrew 100k on him

Rules state:

U must place a bid on a wrestler and post who u are dropping or it isn't valid

I remember bidding on someone last game and Hammy saying it doesnt  count till I put who I am dropping

and Then Remember when Hammy bid money right after Batista but he didn't put "Batista" so he wasn't forced t drop him

Cowbell didn't list a wrestler to drop
Jim didn't say WHO he was bidding on

The rules are the rules right?

The most you can bid assuming you haven't used any trades is $120,000.  When you bid for someone you state who you will drop if you win the wrestler, then when the 48 hours have passed the switch happens automatically.

Cowbell's definately didn't count.

But with Jim's I thought we all knew who he was bidding on, he didn't technically call him by name, but technically the rules highlight the say who you are dropping part (because logically everyone knows who you are bidding on...)

I'll wait for other opinions on this, but it would be easier for future reference if people just bid properly.

I mean if Jim's bid doesn't count it could be considered misleading as others may have bid if they thought the bidding was merely at $80,000.

I reckon it would be a laugh if we all went to an auction....

I'm not sure if Jim's should count. I mean, he even asked who we were bidding on. :hihi:

That's vintage Jim though, everyone knows his gimmick. The implication he left was so obvious regarding who he was bidding for, and it reeks of D trying to weasel in with a technicality.

Here are four posts that picked up on the implied bid (including two from D himself) and can prove this.

Whichever way you slice it, for people who are NEW to the game, who are still trying to grasp all the rules and how things work, stuff like this really does not help!

Wow I was just being a jerk trying to get someone to bid 120k but myself I didn't want the guy and kinda happy D got him. I assumed jims bid was a joke but I don't him as well so itcould of been. I think the people who know jim best should tell if hisbid is serious.

Maybe make a rule of a 10 point fine for fake bidders like me or we can continue to try to drive up prices. Its a dirty tactic.
