Last CD/Vinyl you bought
« on: September 05, 2009, 11:06:13 pm »
Kind of self explanatory thread,

Recently from my vinyl shop I grabbed the classic, Blue Öyster Cult - Fire of Unknown Origin and Tesla - Psychotic Supper.

Got Iowa by Slipknot the other day - haven't listened to it yet - and have ordered Don't Believe The Truth by Oasis and Bleed Like Me by Garbage, which have yet to arrive.

All ridiculously cheap from company's seeling through Amazon. :ohyeah:

Over the last week, I've got the new albums by Paramore, Alice In Chains and KISS. The first albums from 2009 I've bought. :o

yeah its weird how I don't buy music anymore and I don't steal it either..

Problem is **** ITunes

if I hear a song i like, I just pay 99 cents for it whereas back years ago, I would've had to buy the whole album

Itunes is the death of the music industry moreso than illegal downloaders.

I usually try and buy whole albums but sometimes bands only have one or two songs I like. :P iTunes is good for that.

Plus, I've got loads of money from iTunes gift cards I got last Christmas which will probably last the rest of my life....

Spotify kills it for me, why pay when I can listen for free and legally?

I have enough other music to keep me occupied when I'm out, which means I only need to make the odd essential purchase each year.

I've recently bought/ordered Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants by Oasis, Portrait Of An American Family by Marilyn Manson, Turns Into Stone by The Stone Roses, Creatures Of The Night by KISS and Version 2.0 by Garbage. 8)

And will have to buy a second CD rack at some point....

Aside from the new song, is there much to it?  Or is it pretty much another hits pack?

I don't have any GH MJ CD's, so I picked it up.

I just pre-ordered Kid Sister's debut album Ultraviolet.
