Partial Source - PWInsider.com

- It looks as if World Wrestling Entertainment have made their move to replace departed female announcer Lillian Garcia.

Lauren Mayhew, 24, was introduced as a ring announcer at last night’s Smackdown taping in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Mayhew has quite an array of experience, spanning TV appearances in the likes of CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and American Dreams, as well as singing and writing experience. It was widely reported that Vince McMahon was very high on getting an individual that could sing as well as announce.

For those interested, you can check out videos of Lauren Mayhew singing at her youTube link here: http://www.youtube.com/user/laurenmayhew

Hammy Note: I advise NOT clicking on to her youtube page, she is a cross between Brooke and Britney  :puke:  My ears are still in recovery....

My God.

It appears my original fears have come into fruition. Do we have a 'blowing brains out' smiley?

Justin Roberts has been moved from SmackDown! to RAW and will be the ring announcer for tonight's show.

Originally, it was thought that Lauren Mayhew would be replacing Lilian Garcia as RAW ring announcer, however it came out over the weekend that she'll instead take over SmackDown! ring announcing duties.

It would appear that Lauren Mayhew’s brief tenure with World Wrestling Entertainment has already come to an end as her pictures and profile were removed from the company website’s ECW section this afternoon. Furthermore, her name was removed from its Divas section as well. WWE has yet to make an official announcement concerning her apparent departure from the company.

Mayhew was hired this past September to take over the ring announcing void Lilian Garcia left behind when she decided to part ways with the company after a decade-plus relationship. Shortly thereafter, Mayhew begun working as the ring announcer for its ECW brand.

Mayhew is an aspiring recording artist who has worked alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry, superstars such as Britney Spears, Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland to name a few. She even performed at the Super Bowl as frontwoman for the teen group PYT. Mayhew has also branched out into acting as she will be appearing in Frat Party, which is set for release next month on DVD. You can also catch Lauren in the upcoming MTV pilot series Private High Musical, scheduled for 2010.

As reported last week, Lauren Mayhew, the ECW ring announcer, has left World Wrestling Entertainment. She parted ways with the company after both sides were unable to come to terms on a new long-term contract. Vince McMahon is looking for someone to replace Lilian Garcia both as a ring announcer and someone who can sing the national anthem. One person said Mayhew’s heart was never into wrestling and that she’s leaving to pursue acting. (source: www.f4wonline.com)
