The theme for WWE’s Bragging Rights pay-per-view later this month will be RAW vs. SmackDown matches. No word yet if ECW will be thrown in there as originally planned.

It looks like the main event that night will see a tag team match with RAW vs. SmackDown and the winners of that night’s matches. Here’s the preview from iNDEMAND:

Bragging Rights are on the line in a special SmackDown vs. Raw tag-team main event featuring winners of the night’s matches. Don’t miss WWE Bragging Rights, with all your favorite Superstars including Randy Orton, John Cena, Triple H, Undertaker and Rey Mysterio.

Tag match for main event without anything on the line? That sounds awful and like a Raw main event. Not encouraging.

Its, ahem....for the...erm...hmmm....Bragging Rights!  :banananig:

I'm guessing they may mix things up like having Jericho and Big Show on opposing teams.

It has to be a WWE title v Heavyweight title main event or there is zero point in this

...isnt this just Survivor Series anyway?

I always enjoy Iron Man matches, nice addition.

Also US Champ is now The Miz, does this mean we get THE match we never got after they split....The Dirt Sheet battle

IC Champ John Morrison vs. US Champ The Miz.

I hope so.  8)

Edit: My mistake, I misread how it works.  Its RAW vs. RAW and Smackdown vs. Smackdown Qualifying Matches and the winners face off later that night in the "Brand" Tag match.  Still they could meet in the Tag Match...

Orton clearly wins - they might as well just have said so.

They are moving him to Smackdown to compensate for Hardy

it is disappointing it's a no DQ iron man match, it's more fun when it ends 11-10 and every fall has been memorable/absurd 'taker! He's back! As a biker!'

and devoting 60 mins to one match when half the rooster is irgnored on ppv's anyway is creative being lazy/desperate...

...but I do like 60 min iron man matches...

Does anyone else think that the teams on Paper look rather one-sided

RAW:

HHH
HBK
Henry
Kofi
Big Show
Swagger
Rhodes

vs

SD:

Jericho
Kane
Ziggler
Cryme Tyme
McIntyre
Escobar

The SD team has 5 guys who have never won a title of any kind (i think), as where RAW has a team full of champions and past champions. Yeah they have guys who have never won a world title but its just looks unbalanced.

Maybe it shows the faith they have in guys like Escobar & McIntrye but i'm suprised by Cryme Tyme. You'd have thought that Matt Hardy would of been in there somewhere and i'd have liked to have seen one of the Hart Foundation in the mix at least.

It will be interesting to see what happens as it looks so one sided that i'd usually say that SD would win.... however i'd also be suprised if HHH & HBK allowed themselves to lose to some of the names on the SD team. Maybe a Big Show screwjob to team  RAW or something.

Also really looking forward to Morrison vs Miz.... I think they both have massive potential.... and i think the Miz actually makes a good heel champion. Morrison will win because he is on a role, but i think they'll us it to get Miz even further over as US champion.

Also is it an elimination match or one fall? Elimination would be interesting!

This ppv is creative desperation - but purely by blind luck they have an intresting card.

So does anyone know if the RAW vs SD match is elimination or one fall?

Unfortunately, I found this @ wwe.com

Just as the name of the first-ever WWE Bragging Rights pay-per-view suggests, the Superstars of SmackDown and Raw will meet in a massive tag team confrontation to determine brand supremacy. In the midst of this 14-Superstar melee, only one pinfall will be needed to decide the winning team.

Interesting how Smackdown has 5 heels and RAW only has 3.

It is a damn shame Hart Dynasty missed out, they are jobbing way to much and lack direction, obviously if they had of won it would have been all heels so maybe thats why.

I like the inclusion of Escobar and McIntyre, push the NEW blood!

Elimination rules would have been much better.

Rubbish!

Maybe they think its too close in the year to Survivor Series, but its only one match. This news makes that match go from a interesting and intriging match to a match that will probally be the worst of the night. It also means that guys like Escobar, Ziggler, McIntrye, Henry etc will get marginalised by the bigger stars. At least with the elimination format you could possibly get someone like Ziggler eliminating HBK or Maybe Big Show eliminating Jericho to add spice to their "tension". This way you can almost pick the the guys who will get the pinfall.

If history is anything to go by the finish will involve.

Jericho pinning Henry or Triple H pinning Escobar/McIntyre.

I suppose an interesting finish would be Jericho pinning Big Show or vice versa.

These matches to often become a match based on "Protecting" people, they ruined Classic Survivor Series matches back in the day attempting to protect people having them eliminated by count outs, dqs etc.
