Bret Hart has praised WWE Divas Champion Melina in an audio interview with Ministry of Slam. In the past, Bret has praised her work and referred to her as his favorite wrestler today.  In this audio interview, he says: “I think there's some great wrestlers in the WWE. I think Melina is, you know to me is really creative and imaginative, and she's an innovator and she comes up with some great matches, I love watching her wrestle.  In a lot of ways I think she’s the best wrestler in the world right now.”

But anyway, back on topic, yes, Melina is rather great. And even though he and Vince made up, I'm surprised Bret watches WWE regularly, enough to make a judgement about the divas' matches. Unless they're the only part he watches, I don't know.

On a wrestling-related (!) note, I don't think she's that bad in the ring. I can't remember exactly, but when the move (her finisher, which I still don't know the name of...) she used to beat Jillian for the Diva's Title was botched, I thought it was Jillian who fell to the mat early, rather than her making a mistake?

I'm still surprised at the "best wrestler in the world" comment though. Perhaps he was misquoted and actually said.... "me"?? Not that it would be like him to say something like that....

^^ Paperbag?  You what?  I was denouncing her wrestling skills, she's quite the looker, thanks to WWE, there's a Tough Enough tryout picture floating around that shows her before WWE paid for lots of work, now thats not wonderful, but the point in hand was her wrestling, heck she's not even the best female wrestler in the company, Bret must have been misquoted, or maybe they dropped a word
