nWo in TNA?
« on: December 22, 2009, 01:51:54 am »
The following is from ProWrestling.net:

Scott Hall is expected to appear at the January 4 TNA Impact live show for a reunion with Kevin Nash, according to multiple sources within the company. There are also rumors that Sean "X-Pac" Waltman will be joining them, but nothing is official regarding his TNA status.

Hall back in TNA...hmmm.  Didn't he **** off a whole bunch of people during his last stint there?  They're basically remaking the NWO into TNA programming.  I guess it could work assuming they don't hog up most of the spotlight at the expense of other younger performers with a future in TNA.

Apparently 'creative' will pitch 'face' carter, hogan and angle vs 'heel' jarrett and Foley in a new faction war

...so the NWO would be doing what exactly.

Not entirely sure what they were ever after...

We reported yesterday that there is a possibility of Scott Hall making an appearance at the 1/4 TNA Impact taping, in what could be some sort of nWO/Outsiders reunion on the show.

Additionally, PWInsider.com is reporting that Sean "X-Pac" Waltman has been telling people close to him that he will be making his return to TNA for an appearance on the 3 hour Impact special as well.

Hmm, they need a name - how about the New New World Order :muahaha:

all these guests should be intresting - in the UK we get TNA and Raw on diff days but with Bret Hart on one show and just about every WCW star I can remember on the other I'd be torn as to what to watch...

...isn't a head to head redundant with the tv recorder things we all have?

You still have to decide which is more important to watch and which to record.

I'll just download it, can't be waiting 5 days to watch it.

As for the nWo, Waltman's good and can still wrestle, but Hall looks horrendous!

It's intresting - isn't that rare in wrestling?

We need TNA to be a rival for WWE - if TNA hit 3's all this WWE PG rubbish would be gone, to think TNA manage one Monday show and we see the WWE juggernaught wake for the first time in years...

OUtsiders reunion wouldnt be too bad but as for a long term NWO thing its been done to death, I check out TNA every now and then and will watch the 3 hour showing hoping to see younger guys in the factions. Use a Big Star to PUsh a younger Star, No offsence but Foley and JJ against Hogan and Angle, I dont see how thats going to help TNA longterm, sure it might help with ratings but if TNA is centering around that it going to make the stars they are creating and their world championship seem like a second rate item.

NWO... Oh God No.

Its as lame as D-X. All the major players are well past their prime and re-creating old glory very rarely works. It might get you a few more people for the 4th but when people see how rubbish something they used to love has become then they'll never tune back in again.

Don't make it about WCW or WWE..... Make it all about TNA.
This is how it works, You're young until you're not
You love until you don't, You try until you can't
You laugh until you cry, You cry until you laugh
And everyone must breathe, Until their dying breath

Yeah, it was horrible when they revived it in WWE. def don't want to see it now.

Plus, I don't know if they can use the NWO name unless Bischoff/Hogan own the trademark which is possible i guess since Bisch created it.

No, no, no Please God do not let this happen.

This is wrong, so wrong I just can not start to say how wrong this is going to be but this is bad on so many levels.

1-NWO is like an old **** who is pass her prime still out there looking to have sex with as many guys she can get her old dried up hands on.

2- It did not work in the WWE so how in the hell is it going to work in TNA.

3- The NWO angle is played out.

4-Look at number 1!

This is Hogan trying to get back his spotlight if TNA is smart they will axe this ideal before the ball starts rolling!

Gawd this is why I watch Japanese wrestling because they are always looking for fresh new ideals and they focus on wrestling, and not played out retarded angles that are used up!

To be fair to TNA this isn't the NWO, not only will they not use the name but this is one night only and the whole takeover angle isn't even being attempted - after all, they are in charge (oh god it's the ill fated NWO Monday Nitro that lasted one edition...)

it will get some extra viewers and some will stay for Styles and co, won't do any harm

Kevin Nash is said to be unhappy with “The Band” nickname TNA bestowed upon him, Scott Hall and Sean Waltman. They used the old Blue Brothers movie joke about putting “the band back together” several years ago in World Championship Wrestling, but Nash now feels it’s ridiculously dated.

Nash worried about dated things?!

I have to say the best ideas are ones that seem natural and organic

The NWO in it's current format works in TNA - guys up to no good, believing they have some right to be there and protected by powerful figures - they can raise hell and be old and talentlesd and it all makes sense
