Word is Hogan and Bischoff want it and if they have as much stroke as they make out there could be a damn good chance.

I was a big fan of early TNA and was happy with the traditional ring.  I have never liked the 6-Sided Ring and its always been one of my pet peeves with the promotion.  I do though understand why people like it, it differentiates the promotion from others i.e. WWE, for a company that strives to provide something different, it makes them different, but for me, I'm old school, give me the traditional ring any day of the week.

The whole set design needs updating

...but the ring doesn't

people moan TNA is too similiar to WWE - and yet people want the four sided ring like WWE?!

I'll be honest i couldn't care less about how many sides the ring has.

Its all about the action and storytelling that goes on inside it.

However i don't think its particulary innovative.... i mean if ROH changed to a 8 sided ring would that be great not really.

– It is rumored that an angle will run tonight where the 6-sided ring is destroyed, and then replaced with a traditional 4-sided ring.

So are we supposed to believe that if a ring is destroyed they can't put up a new one up?

Like i said before it doesn't matter if they change it or not but just change it surely you don't need a storyline!

Destroying the ring...

Well haven't seen that in 5 years - and in wrestling if it was more than 5 years ago it never happened

my two cents - the ring must surely be way down the list of things that need to be addressed? Knockout tag division guys? Global title with the word 'legends' on it etc...

To me its a big issue, they are not just trying to get new fans, but also old school ones who are sick of PG, who remember the days of quality programming in WCW and ECW, but they remember that in a 4-Sided Ring, I think it is just a part of the sports entertainment you don't change, the same you wouldn't have a six sided boxing ring.

I agree...Knockout tag division!? what a horrible idea! least vince knows you dont do a **** tag team championship for divas.

God it was weird watching Hogan on impact and Bret confronting HBK on raw...god it felt like 1997...not sure thats a good thing... :smoking:
Johnny Nitro or John Morrison or whatever name he wants to go by SUCKS!

I am in favor of CENA FREE WRESTLING!!

I miss HBK and Edge!

Thats it thats all I have to say...Because I'm Sober_Times, And I'm awweeesoomee!

Get rid of it. You certainly won't lose any fans and it might stop some people from changing the channel wondering "What the hell is this goofy ring?" It doesn't add anything to the show.

I don't actually care about the design of the ring - and at best others appear ambivalent

for all the criticism u might as well change it

MAJOR CHANGE SET FOR TONIGHT'S TNA GENESIS PPV
By Mike Johnson on 2010-01-17 13:05:54
Say goodbye to the six-sided ring. TNA has a traditional four-sided ring set up in the Impact Zone for tonight's Genesis PPV.

TNA had been using the six-sided ring since debuting at Universal Studios in May 2004 for their first Impact taping.
