This is a game i have been looking forward too for ages. If you like the idea of booking a wrestling company either with fitctious or real world then this is the best game out there.

I have now played TEW 05, 08 and have enjoyed them a great deal. The fictional database is so much fun to play (even more so than the real world mods).

The game comes with an editor so you can make your own game, company or even put yourself in the game. Its an incredibley in-depth game and has improved so much since the 2005 version so don't base the new game on that, although you can download the 05 version as freeware now if you wanna give the series a whirl.

Didn't a fair few of us here all get the free version about 6 mths since of TEW and end up hating it.  I remember think there was far too much to do, it seemed a total cluster ****.  I think I'll be EWR 4-Life.

EWR is like a childs menu.... nice but ultimatley small and pointless.

like i said above 05 wasn't in the league of 08 or the new game.

Well yeah if you don't like booking wrestling then, you wont like the game. But the layout is completley different to 05 as well as over 100 new features designed to improve the game.

I understand that its a long winded game compared to the simplistic EWR but TEW is so much more realistic and you have so many more things to think about like in real life.

If you want to complete a year in a day then you'll be disapointed with TEW coz you need more smarts and thinking to make it work. I usually try and plan for 5 PPVs in advance at all times and have my biggest PPV card in mind.

The mistake most people make is to jump into the biggest or best promotion and then complain that they have too much to book.

If you dont want the game to take a long time then pick a promotion with one show a week and 8 PPV's a year rather than the biggest who have 3 TV shows and 14 PPV's.

If you have only played Real World mods you are missing out coz the fictional database is miles better and much more playable.

My best game is 7 years in with a cult level promotion (so like what old ECW would have been) and i love it. I've had good times (where i got the company to National level) and bad times (where a bigger promotion took my world champion and biggest star) but i re-built and thats very satisfying.

Its $35 which is about £22..... Give it a go. But even if you dont if i do a diary people should have a read of that and give me their input.

Then book a touring company or a small regional promotion. You could get through 5 years in a week with that sort of company. haha

fair enough. Hopefully the diary will be good. Never done one before.

Yeah hopefully i'll update it a couple of days a week. Although it won't have real world wrestlers. You'll have to get used to the Cornellverse wrestlers.

I just have to decide what promotion to use or whether to merge a couple.
