WWE RAW 4th Jan Rating Indications
« on: January 06, 2010, 03:51:00 pm »
While the overall rating has not yet come in, last night's edition of Monday Night Raw featuring Bret Hart's return to WWE averaged 5.60 million viewers — the largest viewing audience since the night after SummerSlam.

The show drew a very strong 3.37 rating among males 18-49, the highest figure in that demo since the commercial-free Raw on June 22 scored a 3.71 rating. (source: www.pwtorch.com)

If thats true then thats brilliant. That means more people watched both Impact and RAW last night than in a long time. This is only a good thing for wrestling. It'll be interesting to see how accurate it is as it doesn't seem likely that both shows gained fans does it?

TNA won't mind this either (if its true).... they'll view it as more fans to potentially convert to their show. :banananig:

WWE officials are said to be unhappy with this week's Raw rating. Though TNA provided competition, they felt Bret Hart's return to the company would have garnered at least a 4.0.

The show finished with a 3.6 cable rating, the same number as last week. The show drew hours of 3.51 and 3.73 with the first hour scoring 5,441,000 viewers and hour two pulling in 5,773,000. Raw averaged 5,600,000 for the broadcast. (source: PWInsider.com)

A 4 should have been certain with Bret - TNA's 'impact'?

Anything that goes up against a Supershow with one of the biggest legends of the industry will always hit your rating so hell yeah its TNA's impact,

I think i'm right in saying that Bret's first segment with HBK went up against Hogan's and his second went up against the Angle/AJ match. Thats tough competition for a guy who hasn't been on WWE TV in 12 years. Heck alot of WWE fans will have seen Hogan and Angle in more recent times than Bret.

I think WWE was hoping for a 4.0, but would of expected that it could have been less.

I think this will show them that they can't just put on a regular show when TNA is going all out against them
