APW GYM WARS

The (In)Famous APW Garage - Hayward, California
BELL TIME: 6:30pm
DOORS OPEN: 6:00pm

APW Universal Heavyweight Championship
Malachi (C) vs. Dylan Drake

The new APW Champion Malachi was scheduled to defend his title against another former champ, "Old School" Oliver John, at Kristmas Kaos, but was excused from his title defense when he and a number of others were unable to attend due to weather. Oliver John announced that he is taking some time off after dropping a match to Jeckles the Jester, so now, Malachi will make his first title defense against the man he defeated for the title, Dylan Drake!

Return Match
APW World Wide Internet Championship

"The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher (C) vs. Mr. Wrestling #4

At Kristmas Kaos, these two battled for six rounds to draw in what was dubbed the "British Wrestling Rules" match. Now, Mr. Wrestling #4 has been granted one last shot at Thatcher and the APW Internet title. All Pro Wrestling's championship committee has stated that if Mr. Wrestling #4 does not defeat Thatcher for the Internet title, then this will be Mr. Wrestling #4's last shot as long as Thatcher is champion.

Singles Match
"Big Country" Jody Kristofferson vs. "The Hangman" Dalton Frost

"The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro is sending his Association's "The Hangman" Dalton Frost out to take care of the APW's prized rookie, "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson.
After defeating Vinny Massaro in a "10 Lashes To The Loser Match", Dave Dutra gave five of his lashings to Jody who also was bullied throughout 2009. Jody laid in those five shots with everything he had. After the lashings, Vinny Massaro has made Jody his number one target and he is sending "The Hangman" to teach Jody a lesson.
Is Vinny scared of Jody? Or does "The Nice Guy" not want to get his hands dirty in the destruction of Jody Kristofferson? "Big Country" has never backed down from a fight and he is looking to get in the ring with his fellow Texan and battle it out.
Who will win in the battle of these two Texas bulls?

Special Match
The Second Annual "Pick The Winner" Battle Royal

"Pick The Winner" Battle Royal is an interactive match where you the wrestling fan can win prizes. Here are the rules of the "Pick The Winner" Battle Royal.
1) For $1 fans can purchase a ticket to enter into the "Pick The Winner" Battle Royal. If you spend $5 you get 7 tickets, $10 you get 12 tickets, and $20 gets you 25 tickets.
2) At the end of intermission we will draw 20 tickets out of the bowl. If your ticket number is drawn, you will then come up and pick a card out of the second bowl. On that card will be a name of a wrestler in the Battle Royal. In the Battle Royal that wrestler is YOUR WRESTLER!
EXAMPLE: If the name of the card you picked is "Double D" Dave Dutra, then Dave Dutra is YOUR WRESTLER in the Battle Royal. If Dave Dutra wins the Battle Royal then YOU will win the gift basket of various WWE merchandise and other prizes totaling a value of $100.
3) There is no limit to how many tickets you can purchase. You can possibly have one, two or maybe even three wrestlers depending how many tickets you purchased are picked.
The wrestler who wins the Pick The Winner Battle Royal will earn an APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Title shot at the following Gym Wars event in February. So it will be a win-win situation for everyone. The winner of the Battle Royal gets a title shot and the fan who's wrestler wins the Battle Royal wins the gift prizes!

Singles Match
"Out Of Control" Matt Carlos vs. "The Boss" Derek Sanders

"The Boss" is looking to get back on his winning ways after suffering a defeat to Jody Kristofferson at Kristmas Kaso last month. "The Boss" says 2010 is when he will back on top of All Pro Wrestling, and his first victim will be Matt Carlos.

Matt Carlos is one of APW's most popular young athletes today. Now with a year of wrestling under his belt, Matt Carlos really seems to be on a roll after leading his six man tag team to a win at Kristmas Kaos. His finishing hold "The Union Landing" is one of the most exciting moves in APW today, and he is looking to hit that move quick and gain the 1,2,3 on the former multiple time champion. Who will win this exciting match up of two of pro wrestling brightest stars?

Singles Match
Jeckles The Jester w/ Freckles vs. "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro

Also signed for January 16th is Jeckles The Jester with Freckles, taking on "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro. Nobody has been hotter in APW then Jeckles The Jester in the last three months scoring solid wins over "Savior Of Sins" Mike Rayne, "The Internet Sensation" Brandon P.Net, and "Old School" Oliver John. His win over Oliver John was the most impressive and proved that the former APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Champion, is back in the title picture. Jeckles is looking to get the "Joke-Slam" on Vinny Massaro and move one more step closer to getting a Universal Heavyweight title shot.

"The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro is looking to hurt anybody since losing the 10 LASHES TO A LOSER match to Dave Dutra at Kristmas Kaos. You bet Vinny is looking forward to a chance to smash the smiling face of Jeckles and possibly might even try and hurt Freckles as well. Do not put anything past "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro. Also, Massaro has a chance to stop the momentum of Jeckles moving up the ranks in the APW Universal Heavyweight title picture, which is held by Vinny's "Association" member, Malachi.

Tag-Team Match
Late Night Prime Time ("Wrestling Personified" Rik Luxury & "MPT" Mr. Prime Time w/Markus Mack)
vs. The Reno SCUM
(Adam Thornstowe & Luster the Legend)

Due to the extreme weather conditions the day of our last event in December, the match between The Reno SCUM and Late Night Prime Time was canceled when Reno SCUM and Mr. Prime Time where snowed in. This Saturday, that long awaited tag team rematch from Halloween Hell will take place. The Reno Scum has been counting the days until they can get their hands on Late Night Prime Time and their manager Markus Mack. Will The Reno SCUM get their revenge or will Late Night Prime Time leave The Reno SCUM laying in the ring face down again?

  Singles Match
Corvus Ventura vs. Vennis DeMarco

Corvus Ventura and Vennis DeMarco teamed up together last month in a six man tag team match. Ventura blamed DeMarco for losing the match for their team. Both men look to settle the score this Saturday, at Gym Wars.

 Singles Match
"Hard" Cory Dayton vs "The Mountain from Stone Mountain" Larry Blackwell

The always game "Hard" Cory Dayton takes on the big challenge of stepping in the ring with "The Mountain From Stone Mountain" Larry Blackwell. The APW fans love Dayton's fighting spirit, and the popular athlete is going to need all that fighting spirit when he steps in the ring with the 399lb mountain of the squared circle.

 Singles Match
"Double D" Dave Dutra vs OMEGA

Two of APW's most popular stars in "Double D" Dave Dutra and OMEGA square off. Both men are high in the ranks in the APW World Wide Internet Title division, and whomever wins this match, they will possibly secure themselves a future title shot.

Also Scheduled to Appear:
"The Latin Dragon" Junior Morales
Tyson Thompson
Will Rood
James Bryant
...and So Much More!

No problem Hammy. Check us out on YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/allprowrestling

We're also working on putting APW's TV show "Gym Wars" online as well.

Now, as for the results of this edition of APW Gym Wars...

As posted on allprowrestling.com by APWMatchMaker:

Hello APW fans,

All Pro Wrestling kicked off 2010 with a bang with another exciting Gym Wars event. It was a historic night as "Double D" Dave Dutra won the APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight Championship from "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher. Mr. Wrestling #4 was injured by Larry Blackwell earlier in the night, and Dutra's name was selected out of a bowl with all the wrestlers names who where competing in the Battle Royal main event. "Double D" took advantage of this opportunity and ended the over one year reign of "The British Messiah".

Here are the results.

1) "Double D" Dave Dutra pinned OMEGA in 6:46 with his "Double Or Nothing" finishing move.

This was very fast paced and exciting match that had the APW wrestling fans going crazy for these two fan favorites. It was back in forth action, and finally Dutra locked on his finishing move. After the match, both men shook hands and soaked in the cheers from the All Pro Wrestling fans.

2) Corvis Ventura pinned Vennis DeMarco in 8:34 after taking advantage of Larry Blackwell tripping DeMarco from the outside with a swinging neckbreaker.

DeMarco had no idea it was Blackwell, but the APW fans let him know that Blackwell was the culprit. Just before DeMarco was going to make Blackwell pay for his interference, Corvis attacked DeMarco. Blackwell sat back and watched, but then pushed off Corvis and walked off.

Dylan Drake won the allprowrestling.com poll of "APW's Sexiest Wrestler Contest". Dylan Drake was overwhelmed and humbled in accepting his award and thanked all the APW fans who voted for him. "The Boss" Derek Sanders interrupted Drake's celebration and claimed it a travesty that "The Boss" not only didn't win the contest, but he wasn't even on the ballot. Dylan Drake gave Derek Sanders his trophy and told him "You obviously need this more then me" and Drake walked off leaving Derek Sanders embarrassed and steaming mad.

3) "Big Country" Jody Kristofferson defeated "The Hangman" Dalton Frost by a disqualification when "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro interfered and attacked Jody in 7:26

Before Frost was going to deliver his Texas Lariat clothesline and finish off Jody, Vinny Massaro ran out and attacked Jody seeking revenge for Jody participations in the ten lashings he received last month at Kristmas Kaos. At first Frost was upset with Vinny costing him the match, but Vinny ordered him to join him in the attack. Before The Association members could do any permanent damage, Jeckles The Jester made the save running off Vinny and Frost.

4) "The Mountain From Stone Mountain" Larry Blackwell pinned "Hard" Cory Dayton in 7:17 with a Big Splash.

Matthew Theall once again purchased time at Gym Wars and used that time to give Mr. Wrestling #4 his final offer to manage him. Mr. Wrestling #4 once again listened to his 4-heads fans and told him no for the last time. As Mr. Wrestling #4 was leaving the ring, Theall tried to hit him with the putting iron he is always carrying with him. Mr. Wrestling #4 turned and caught him, and just before he was able to make Theall pay, Larry Blackwell came out and attacked Mr. Wrestling #4. Blackwell crushed Mr. Wrestling #4 with two big splashes. Mr. Wrestling #4 was carried out of the ring and was badly injured. Mr. Wrestling #4 was taken to the hospital, and it has been reported that he has suffered some broken ribs. We will have a further update on Mr. Wrestling #4 condition in the very near future right here on allprowrestling.com

5) "The Boss" Derek Sanders pinned "Out Of Control" Matt Carlos in 7:57 when Matt Carlos went for his "Union Landing" cutter, but Sanders reversed it and crotched Carlos on the top turnbuckles and scored the victory.

6) Jeckles The Jester pinned "The Nice Guy" Vinny Massaro in 8:14 with the Joke-Slam after being distracted by Jody Kristofferson on the outside.

7) The Reno SCUM w/ Christina Von Eerie in their corner defeated Late Night Prime Time w/ Markus Mack in 11:48 by countout.

Adam Thornstowe had MPT lined up for the superkick, when Markus Mack and Rik Luxury pulled MPT out of harms way. Late Night Prime Time high tailed it, and purposely had themselves be counted out. The Reno SCUM didn't want to accept this victory, and demanded another rematch with Late Night Prime Time.

8 ) "Double D" Dave Dutra pinned "The British Messiah" Timothy Thatcher in 8:59 with an inside cradle.

With Mr. Wrestling #4 injured, APW Management decided that since the winner of the Pick The Winner Battle Royal would receive an APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight title shot at our next Gym Wars on February 6th, that one lucky wrestler in the Battle Royal tonight would get chance a little earlier and APW Management team member, Johnny LaRocca selected the name "Double D" Dave Dutra out of the bowl.

This was a classic match of technical skill and heart from both men. Both men rolled around in an inside cradle, but Dutra was able to clinch the hold a little tighter and got the three count and the championship.

9) APW Universal Heavyweight Champion MALACHI pinned Dylan Drake in 9:05 with the Big Boot to the face after "The Boss" Derek Sanders interfered.

Dylan Drake locked on the Sharpshooter hold, but with the referee on the mat trying to hear for a submission or wait for the Malachi to tap, "The Boss" Derek Sanders sneaked in and punched Dylan Drake right in the face through the ropes. A groggy Dylan Drake made his way to his feet, and Malachi blasted Dylan with his big boot for the pin.

After the match, Derek Sanders jumped in the ring and attacked Dylan Drake. Soon Jeckles ran into even the odds, but that was quickly offset when Vinny Massaro came in. Jody Kristofferson ran out, Dalton Frost ran out, and it was a brawl until Dylan Drake grabbed a chair and ran off The Association and Derek Sanders.

10) "Out Of Control" Matt Carlos won the 2010 PICK THE WINNER BATTLE ROYAL by eliminating Timothy Thatcher (who demanded to be put in the match after losing the APW World Wide Internet title earlier) in 12:47 in another wild Battle Royal put on by All Pro Wrestling.

Not only did the lucky fan who picked Matt Carlos's name out of the bucket in a blind draw become a big winner by winning the various WWE merchandise worth over $100, but Matt Carlos also will receive an APW World Wide Internet Heavyweight title shot at our next APW Gym Wars event on February 6th against the new champion, "Double D" Dave Dutra in what should be an explosive match.

Thanks for all the APW fans who joined us last night, and we looking forward to seeing you again at our next event on Saturday, February 6th!

Here's an episode of APW's "Gym Wars" show. It airs in California's Bay Area on KFTY TV 50, Digital 199 starting at 11:00AM. Because of YouTube's 10 minute time limit, it's split into five vids:
